Hello everyone I've been owning a Big Green Egg for 10 years I love the taste and the juiciness of the meat and food.
I heard about the KK a week ago on YouTube and been on the Forum every since.
I understand about the quality and manufacturing of the KK but how can it be said that the juiciness and the taste of the KK is better than the egg?
My ribeye steaks come out so juicy and fall apart tender that I'm just curious about this question? The wife and I have six kids and the 32 looks very interesting to me. Thank you in advance for your answers.
Lance
I used bge for many many years like you said the food was so juicy then i got a KK well its just night and day the food that comes off a kk is so much more juicy flavorful and full of moisture ,if you love what comes off your bge you will love it more if you owned a KK

yes it would be nice to hear from CC again havent seen a post from him in a good long while

The KK is night and day from the bge i cooked on 2 large bge's for many many years and like many have said in this forum once you get the kk home and cook on it you will ask yourself why didnt i pull the trigger sooner . the 21 is a nice size you will love it

Hi All,
I have been admiring the KK grills for a while now and I still am no where near having the funds to purchase one but wanted to see what people's thoughts were on this size of grill?
Here on the central coast of CA we also have Santa Maria style BBQ that I simply can't replicate in my BGE so I also have that style as well and in the future I am looking to do a built in Santa Maria grill and wanted a Table Top like this to sit next to it but not sure how this size is working for others.
When I cook on my BGE I am usually doing some whole chickens or pulled pork for big get-togethers...
Cooking for just the family I will cook some steaks on the BGE sometimes but I usually find the cooking surface of my large BGE to be a little constricting for more than 3 steaks so I usually do those on the Santa Maria as well but I prefer small cooks on the BGE due to faster start times(coal vs. wood) and the overall convenience of the grill. Therefore, I was hoping the KK 22 TT would be the perfect fit but wonder if it is still a little small for grilling for a family.
I had 2 large bge's and i found it to be the same i now have the kk 23 and at times i wish i got the 32 but the 23 is perfect for all my needs weather i am cooking for myself or family i have a family of 4 btw my kk takes the same amount of time to start up as the bge did. the 22 is terrific as well as all the kk's plus the 22 has the high cap top
good luck on your decision

Try a lower temp i get best results at 450 475 then i do at higher temps also your dough moisture ect plays a big role too on how it cooks on the steel

I may have figured out a pattern, as it just did it to me again. I was posting an emoji only response. I've also noticed that it usually does it after a couple of posts, as well. Never on the first one.
We will have to wait till dennis can fix this i believe this is server related

I haven't been sent to Dennis' profile yet. But I did just get the error message after posting multiple replies and "likes." The frustrating part is that you can't readily get back into the Forum to try the log out/log in "fix." It finally let me back in and the 1st thing I did was log out and back in. Fingers crossed, it hasn't hiccupped yet!
we will have to look into this with server folks see if there is a remedy to this .

I just finished up a session of several replies, with both emoji's and imbedded links, no pics though, all without any hiccups. The only other browser that I could try would be my old version of Explorer, but not sure if that would help any?
Shutting down the browser and restarting it doesn't solve the problem and I immediately get the error message upon restart.
dont shut down the browser log out of the kk forum and back in and see if that helps any

I've gotten the error message on both my desktop (Microsoft Edge) and on my Samsung phone (Android).
While I think emoji's are part of it, sometimes it also happens when you try and post a picture. But, it can happen with just a simple text reply. No common thread that I've been able to observe.
Tony can you try another browser and see if you still get error . i am using ff and do not get any such error
logging out and logging back in sometimes fixes these type issues

Glad you are home on on the mend hope you get back to 100 percent sooner then later

I often thought if i ever decided to move i would sell my kk and buy a new one so i could have it delivered where the new house was plus it would be new
so my 2 cents sell them both and buy new
cant talk you out of it if you arent using the 23 much as you have been i guess selling is the best option seems like the 32 is the go to grill now
best of luck on semi retiring
