Good doggy! Congratulations Rumor!! They are such loyal companions, and super smart. Their nose and ears are such an asset to the military and law enforcement it should be no surprise to anyone who has owned one that they excell at all sorts of things. Ours will get the newspaper for us and take it into our home, packages from FedEx,UPS and take it home and entire repertoire of commands and actions in 2 languages as well as hand signals and whistles. This one knows colors; red, blue, yellow, green, white and black, so when she has a ball I can designate what color of ball to go get and she will do it!! Same with Frisbees, and yes, they are color blind but they sure as heck know different shade of whatever color they do see. I am working with my 6th one in 40 years but my first indoor GSD. Alarm system?? Ha!! She triggers before the alarm does Can you make it to the gate before she gets there?

First cook on the 42??

Getting it down the stairway was more difficult because of the limited space to maneuver.

I do believe I heard a cringe when you Posted this! I get some very good Vietnamese food and dearly love these with hoisin and peanuts and vinegar/or lime and sriracha sauce all mixed.
-
The dog did love it and as long as the ground was frozen it was OK with me, but then it got warm and the white turned to grey.

Charles, it is pretty weird and could well have been something with my internet provider, the local cable people because they were have issues reported the next day.

I have tried benadryl and that doesn't even slow her down. If I use anti-anxiety pills they need to be a large dose, like 200mg, to slow her down and that is not nice to the dog. I think the allergy doc is trying to fund a new wing on his clinic and the dog is just high strung and bored. If we leave her she start scratching herself and we come home to clouds of fur everywhere, its amazing. 19 mo old next week and I am hoping for change in another 6 months, eith with age or shots, preferably age. The burner issue will be resolved before that!

Sort of routine, nail clip and allergy check. The poor girl seems to have allergies and has been given injections for month (weekly) and yet it is not proving to help. I will give it 1 yr and call it quits because it is not fun for her or me. This photo is of her at 72 pounds, now she is 85. Meanwhile the burner saga will continue.

I think it is just me not getting the best regulator for the job. I can get a real roaring blue flame easily with the burner top off as witnessed in my video showing the same so somewhere there has to be a happy medium that the burner will work with. I am suspecting a 0-30 psi regulator might work, but at this point it is speculation; taking my dog to the vet took president over buying another regulator.
-
Not yet. I can tell you what regulators I have tried that didn't work properly. a 0-40 psi from Bayou and a "red cap" "high pressure" fixed regulator for a Weber or any generic BBQ grill (can't remember who made it).

I moved mine down a 32 degree slope.

Mike, great choice, the BB32 is pretty darn easy to use, either for small cooks or big ones. I find it pretty versatile and the smoker works great! Enjoy the adventure , looking forward to hearing what sort of things you are cooking and how you do it.

4wood7, I have to ask, what is the significance of the the cow in the yard?? BBQ monitor ?
-
If you dismantle it the largest piece weighs 518 pounds and thats the base on its own wheels.

You are going to have fun playing with what works best for you and your wifes style of cooking. You will be astounded at how well these things hold heat and how little coal they use.
-
Lay plywood on the grass, gravel or other surfaces to roll the KK on you you will be fine; they roll easily on smooth surfaces and in fact you will have to slow it down if the lawn has a slope.
-
When she sees it in person the decision to not chime in on color choice might hit her like a pallet of bricks,,, errr BB32, It is large enough to command an area like a real big NFL player sitting at a kids table... You notice things like that. BTW, nice color!!

Thanks Jeff.

Did you try using the pump at a reduced air flow? Or what air flow setting were you using on that pump Jeff? It sounds like the venturi effect is really strong.

Sneek Peak KK Cold Smoker accessory
FotonDrv replied to DennisLinkletter's topic in KK Announcements
I used Maple chips (not chunks) and it worked just fine. Today I will work/smoke with some other chips but I suspect the result might be the same. I only tapped holes in the cylinder I made, 2 for the existing slots in the Cold Smoker Bracket and another perpendicular to the Smoke Tube for a set screw to lock onto the Smoke Tube. The main cylinder that holds the burning/smoking wood has no modifications. -
Jeff, were you getting ashes sucked up into the tube? Very curious to see how that works for you. Check to see if it condenses the smoke and builds up enough to choke off the air flow.
