I'll bet she's gonna haunt quite a few before it's all said and done. Yep, we thank God for our blessings everynight when we pray
  2. Yeah, he's like a son to me Yeah, ya'll kinda look a like too. -=Jasen=- Thanks, yeah, he's a looker ain't he.
  3. Re: Oh no I just called and they say we can pick him up this afternoon, so I reckon he's gonna make it. Hope it calms his rowdy self down a little bit.
  4. I kinda like the smell, reminds me of my purdy thang when we cuddle This pic is on special request of DJ...man I can't figger out if he's more jealous of my KK or my purdy thang...I know he pines after them both though
  5. Re: Poor Chubby You see the deer figured out a way to get even with him. Yeah, when my wife called and told me there was something inside of him, I asked her if it looked like an antler. She said no, It's wooden Well, he'll settle down now. We'll have a land where the deer and the laborador play
  6. Poor Chubby, we're not sure what happened, but he somehow impalled himself on a limb and it was broken off inside his body by the time he was able to get himself home. They did surgery yesterday and removed the limb...he's still in the hospital resting. They say he's gonna be fine, I guess he won't be dragging home any deers for a few weeks
  7. Hey man, I'll bet there are plenty a people on that same diet that say it's impossible and it ain't working...so pat yourself on the back But you may need to step away from the forums (again) lest you backslide badly from the food porn
  8. Re: Welcome I tried for about a year to buy a K3. I had, of course, put down my 50% but just never could seem to get anyones attention to actually send me the cooker. Finally just asked for a refund, and got it after a while.
  9. So what's up with the new diet? The doc give you an ultimatum or something?
  10. Re: the textured bottom half is +- 260lbs You boys gotta remember that there is the firebox and all that damn heavy stainless.. Pull it out and the textured bottom half is +- 260lbs No problem with four guys.. Shoot, Turtle weighs more than that...give him a call.
  11. Yeah, I really didn't QUITE believe all the hype...but I have a K7 and a KK and yes the KK is THAT MUCH BETTER. The temp is so much easier to manage with the KK. There are other things that you'll discover as you cook. The biggest, of course, is the customer service.
  12. Dude, if you got a KK and the neighbors still don't like you then you got some serious personality problems. Couse, I can say that cause I ain't got no stinkin neighbors
  13. I'd trust that a lot more than my memory. Sorry bout that, for some reason it was stuck in my head that the bottom was 400.
  14. Dang man...that's a large Turtle, no?

Re: Beautiful! Yeah, I'd rather visit it...not live with it too much. We've had a pretty cold winter, fires in the woodstove almost everynight...we really enjoy that. But I get sick of the sloppyness of the snow pretty quick. But you're right, makes for good picture taking at the cabin.
  16. Re: Getting a cooker off a pickup Just the bottom.
  17. Re: Getting a cooker off a pickup Use a forklift. Maybe you could fly yours over to him on the plane and let him use it That would be a neighborly thing to do.

    Rib Eye heaven

Its warm enough here in Florida that thing would stunk out the neighborhood by now. Those dogs in Carolina get fancier toys! You're right about that...this cold weather was the only thing making it able for him to have that furry toy around. But it's gone now. Saturday night we were trying to sleep and he had that thing back on the front porch. Sounded like he was throwing it from one side to the other...like he was faux killing it or something. I finally got up and took it from him.
  19. Re: Getting a cooker off a pickup I believe there are some threads around here somewhere with deal with this. 1. Take the crate apart 2. Take the top off and all the guts out. 3. Use the nylon ropes Dennis sends and a couple of 2x4's and 4 hungry fellows and it should not be all that difficult. The ropes go under the legs and you put the 2x4's through the loops at the ends and use to lift. I had 3 of us lift mine onto a pickup without using the straps or 2x4's so if you do it the correct way it should really be no problem. 400 lbs or so without the top and insides should be a breeze for 4 people.
  20. Re: much better than brisket You can do a lot with that beef...all kind Mexican dishes...veggie beef soup...no end of ideas.
  21. Re: low and slow Low-in-slow for me is bottom vent completely closed with wheel open the very smallest of cracks. Top closed all the way tight...then open about the width of a tile or 2....just enough to allow smoke out. Always come up to the temp as slow as possible. I allow about 2 hours of the grill climbing to 225'ish before I put a slow cook on the grill. After I fill it up with lump I shoot it with the torch for 5-10 secs and then close it...with the vents as above...let it take as long as it wants to climb up to the temp. If it gets hot and heat soaked to start with it can take a long long time to get DOWN to temp. Bottom line, I believe you are just opening it up to much
