  1. Crab like, I'll take a swarm. I guess crawdags are kinda like bugs too. I cooked some bear meat this week-end that my brother gave me and it was more like liver, I'd rather have the bugs anyday than liver. Update ============================= Nah, never mind, I just went out and googled those and they were compared to waterbugs, that's just big ole roaches to me. I could do some big ole grasshopper, but not a roach. I'd rather have the liver
  2. Yeah, there's really nothing new under the sun (Loose quote from King Solomon) In fact, King Solomon may have tried ABT's by a different name back in the day, he tried pretty much everything to satisfy his every desire. Majestic wasn't trying to lay claim to it, he was just posting the recipe here for all those who didn't know what they were. Yes, there are some of those Eggers that have been ceramic grilling for 20 plus years...there is a wealth of ceramic knowledge in the green room.
  3. Bobcat, I definately envy you for the fishing you get to do. I ain't even a fisherman but man that just looks fun catching those big boys.
  4. Um-ummm, if I could get some good spareribs for $1 lb I'd be in hog heaven, that was a great deal A savings like that could allow for some of that more expensive beef to be bought
  5. Re: leejp Get pork butt on sale (with the card from whatever supermarket...I have em all) for .89 cent a lb. That my friend, is Q!
  6. Re: Bah! Ahhh, prolly not fake, just regular...maybe not gourmet paella.
  7. Re: Now I have to... I just hope you are making it right this time
  8. I have a Mexi-K as well as a KK. My Mexi-K is actually one of the ones that has held up well. I attribute that to the fact that after each cook I use 8 feet of common string and tie my biggest rooster to the garage by his right leg. If he stays tied up for the entire day the K will remain healthy. One time my daughter untied him and a tile fell off of the dome, so I know it works. (Idea stolen from an episode of Little House on the Prairie)
  9. If you can't in color prevail Send that lady off to jail They can't all be aquitted
  10. I got a little Toyota pickup and it was fine hauling mine about 500 miles Just find a big friend
  11. Man, that's some great looking fishing there. I was in Guantanamo Bay Cuba for a year back in the mid 70's and this friend had a snapper fish fry every Friday night and we were all invited. None of em ever looked like that though, they were all pretty small. I reckon he was boat fishing (never went with him) but we couldn't venture out very far from land...especially on the edges near Cuba or there would be heck to pay. There were even underwater signs for the scuba divers saying that you better turn back lest you get arrested.
  12. Yes TNW, thanks for doing your part for our soldiers.
  13. I've also got them both Bobkat, so yes, the KK is a hands down winner.
  14. This is the interlocking 45º airtight lid.. Now that's good!
  15. Let's see some pics from the mile high city.
  16. You eat your duck uncooked, Curly? Wow... No, I don't eat it raw! I don't think I've ever had any duck though, cooked either! Is it good? Let's see some pics.
  17. Great looking tiles...good choice. I've never cooked a duck, but am sure some around here have and will be giving you some hints.
  18. If he's got all his fingers then he's surely not a native. We see them 10'ers running around all over the place...they stick out like sore thumbs
  19. Schucks.. I didn't know that the federal penal system was so spread out. Or was it Amway? I mean, Microsoft didn't really exist yet. Well, it's kinda easy to get lost in the system
  20. It's really all of my wife's people who are from here so she may know them. I just asked her if she knew any Knox's and she started naming a few off...maybe some of em are your kin fold...they seem to always have a good bottle if wine in their back pocket when I see em, one of them flat bottles too, the really potent stuff. They smell a lot like like smoking wood you sent me Though my wife wasn't raised here. Her mother died at her birth and her father had a 3 year old. He was pretty tore up at the time and he let his sister and brother-in-law adopt my wife and her twin sister, so her aunt and uncle became her mother and father...and her father became her uncle. And of course her 3 year old sister, who we now live beside, became her cousin. She was raised about 100 miles away in the big city of Columbia SC, same as me. We're city folk. Maybe you can live in my garage with my cousin...well, I don't know if he's really a cousin or not...it get's kinda complicated And DJ wife's family is also from here. Cool. we're just like one big happy family.
