  1. The lump works great in a Weber, and I use a little propane torch to light it! And you can put it out to reuse later. -=Jasen=-
  2. OUch, not even a little Weber Smokey Joe? hehe I know the feeling though brother!! -=Jasen=-
  3. It is a leg / wing holder. Lowes and Target carry them. It has the bar in the center for wings to hook into or just slide a leg on the slot. It works great. -=Jasen=-
  4. Finished and eaten - wow they were hot. I just had to kick up the hot sauce a little - duh! -=Jasen=-
  5. Mmmmm, got some hot wings grillin' right now! I just coat the wings with favorite hot sauce and sprinkle on Dizzy Pig's Swamp Venom. Grill at 275 to 325 till the wings are very loose in the joint. I like mine almost falling apart, around 2 hours. May seem like a lot, but wings can handle it with all that protective skin and nice fat content (I like them crisp). Coat again with hot sauce 30 minutes before end of cook. I use something like Tabasco initially, then something slightly milder for the end coating like Texas Pete wing sauce. Opps, forgot to mention that I usually up the temps during the final coat to crisp things up more (375-400). They will still eventually crisp anyway, but this speeds it up. -=Jasen=-
  6. Actually most of the blanks are filled in - hehe - unfortunately they are spread out across the forum and not in a nice neat thread like this one. Good thinking bud as it is very important to properly care for SS. -=Jasen=-
  7. That is simply an old eyebolt in the wall next to the outlet. There is a beer bottle opener on the spatula utensil I use commonly. But frankly beer comes from the frig, bottle opener next to frig. No way to get beer out of frig without walking by bottle opener. Wife knows when she gets beer, it must be opened (as there are no twist off tops in my house!!!). Next beer is always poured into my favorite pilsner glasses, which is also done next to frig. So to recap, the center of the beer universe is located at my frig! Just in case any of you get any ideas, I protect the center of the beer universe with lots of guns! -=Jasen=- hehe Now, how about those side tables Dennis??? Any word on their status???
  8. Re: Hunh? Whew! I thought it was just me! Purty pixtures, though. It's OK, ya'll can just look at the purdy pictures! Just don't fly into the bright blue light......stay away from the light!! -=Jasen=-
  9. Frog Hooks! Hey Firemonkey, do you have a wall near your cooker? Check out the wall behind my cooker. Holding racks and utensils was the purpose I bought this little frog shaped hanging hook holder thingie! Works great and will hold the lower and main grill at the same time. -=Jasen=-
  10. Quick update on this; the existing valve that comes with the burner does not have enough thread depth to re-tap to 1/8" NPT like I had originally hoped. It might be possible to use a specific bottoming tap, but being there are only about 3 threads in the valve body, I highly recommend not doing it. The only solution I can see using the existing valve is the thread converting adapter mentioned earlier in this thread. -=Jasen=-
  11. Well, I thought I would share my burner project with the forum. I decided to completely convert the entire burner to American standard pipe fittings and change up a few settings. I mean, anyone here should know it is not like me to tinker with things - hehe! First off, here is a before shot of the burner in the grill and the after shot. Both are shot with a standard low pressure regulator in use and valve fully open. Before: After: I started with the burner itself and drilled out the existing threads heading into the mixing chamber. Then I re-tapped them to 1/4" NPT. Next a 2 1/2" long x 1/4" npt brass pipe nipple was modified to be the replacement gas in tube. One end was left standard while the other end was threaded approximately an additional 1" to allow it to be screwed into the burner. This same end (which was extended) was also tapped internally (1/8"npt) to accommodate a 1/8" npt pipe plug. The plug was also drilled to be used as the venturi jet orifice. Lastly an additional sleeve was cut from 5/8" SS tube to slip over the nipple to allow the valve threaded on the standard end of the pipe nipple to pull the burner up snug on the door. Now all parts are standardized American fittings and I also increased my flame height from around 1" to about 6" allowing for a much faster start of the charcoal. FYI, I have not made any temperature comparisons yet since I have no plans on actually cooking with gas (but will test it for those interested). -=Jasen=- Gas in nipple: Nipple, sleeve & jet nozzle: Now we're cooking!!

  21. Ribs! I have some ribs cooking right now! Rotisserie ribs! -=Jasen=- FYI, if you are asking how I am using the rotis when I sent the motor back today, good catch. Anyway, I had an old $15 walmart cheapy rotis motor in my stash. I said what the hey and tried it, fit perfect - hehehe.
