  1. It won't be as drastic, the kk is so well insulated, once it's soaked, there's not much heat differential at low temps. There's also another grate that can be used either on the firebox, or as a grate above the upper grate. Wilbur posted a pic where he did just that, with great success. Robert
  2. The only reason I can imagine using the rear door is for the gas burner. As Dennis says, this isn't practical for lo/slo's. I find opening the front vents fully, and opening the top vent fully gets hot as fast as I want, and because mine is somewhat recessed, I wish that door wasn't there. Robert
  3. I don't have pics, but a good friend has the bronze nebula tweed. It's striking!! It's not near as blingy as the bronze, so if you're worried about safe, you're fine. Robert
  4. Mine bubbled, and liquid dripped. I just kept pushing the tiles back in place as it cooled, and I've never added any grout. Robert
  5. Welcome.....to the dark side!!!! Robert

HEY!! Don't be spreadin rumors!!! Robert
  11. Rider, I have a 19" table top, it's very capable. I went with it because I had already designed the spot in my outdoor kitchen for an egg I already had. When I was finishing up, there was no way I was letting an egg share the same space as my bronze 23", so I got the 19" table top. Now, if you're building space, or if I had to do it over again, I would have a free standing something, and not a table top. It's a great grill mind you, but two free standing grills is what I would prefer. Robert
  12. I do, the 19", and a 23". I love them both. Robert
  13. I have a tabletop 19", you're gonna be very surprised at how much you can cook on it. Beautiful!!! Robert

  22. Yeah, go to the kk website, galleries, tile colors. That's every tile color available. The grill store section is a good place to look also. Robert

  25. With, I always want to burn off any potential taste bads, or anything else for that matter. Don't put the stone in, you don't really need to subject it to hi temps, I dont think it would hurt, just not necessary. Robert
