If you don't go get stitched up (which it sounds like you should!!), make sure that you put some good antibiotic cream on it and keep it bandaged well! Last thing you need at this point is to get it infected!
The high temp here right now is 25F, but sunny - hey, just looking for that silver lining, baby! So, that gumbo would be awful warming and tasty about suppertime when it's supposed to be 16F on to a low of 5F!!
Looks seriously tasty, Doc.
I'm doing chicken thighs tonight, but as a Fricassee - INDOORS, as the snow is flying as I type this. Plus, I want to test drive the new DO.
Kewl! How long has she lived here? Hopefully long enough to be acclimated! Snow just started falling. We're about to get hit hard - maybe 10" of snow tonight and the low tomorrow night is predicted to be 5F (-15C)!! A little to damned early for me, but you roll with it!
It's just started. Grass is just lightly dusted. Most of it will be later tonight, so not even contemplating dealing with it until tomorrow morning and then, only if I really need to go out for something.
Bracing for the first big winter storm here today. Could see as much as 10 inches of snow by Noon tomorrow! Being this early in the season, it will be that wet, heavy, slushy snow that's a major pain to shovel (can't use the snowblower on it either!) Will hunker down with the dogs and just wait it out.
To be honest, No. I have so many from that trip, it's gonna take me some time to work through them all.
But, I did get some of this one (Double Double) at the bar in the B&B I was staying at, which is what inspired me to go after it.
Thanks, Ken!
I keep a bottle of Double Oaked on my bar at all times! I did score the Double Double Oaked at Woodford on my last visit. It's on the next level from the "regular" Double Oaked! It's on the far right of the bourbon pic I posted on page 2 of this thread.
