Valentine's Dinner - bragging rights

Recommended Posts

My wife cooked me a delicious dinner for Valentine's Day:

Hors D'oeuvres

Fois Gras - Champagne

Entree

Oysters with Cava dressing - Champagne

Main Course

Lobster Thermidor - Chardonnay

Rocket, Orange and Avocado Salad

Dessert

Chocolate Hazelnut Cake - Port

Valentines day - commercialised....maybe :?

This dinner - pretentious....perhaps :(

Do I love my wife??? YOU BET!!!! :D

And what did you do for her? Jewelry? Gift certificate for a Spa Day? Flowers? Wash her car? A few chores on the honey do list?.......or are you a sub-prime Valentine? :D

Commercialised.. Why?

If she cooked it and it was good.. how can it be pretentious?

I say never apoligise for buying great produce and treating yourself, ever..

Life is too short not to.. whenever you can!

I took my wife out to dinner earlier in the week to her favorite restaurant (tonight would be crowded and probably bad service). Then I cooked her dinner today and bought a couple bottles of her favorite wines and cheese for later this evening. No commercialized Valentines day mess; but after 20 years together, we know each others favorite things pretty well.

Sounds delicious! I miss the rocket! I spent a few weeks on Lord Howe last year and was so confused when they kept telling me my salad was coming with rocket!

Dinner sounded awesome. Me and My Love did an awesome tapas lunch in DC after going to the 1000 Kisses exhibit at the Reynolds Gallery.
