MacKenzie Posted April 13, 2015 Report Posted April 13, 2015 First, cheddar cheese and red pepper stuffed baby portabella mushrooms. Used the mayo idea Tony mentioned earlier today. This was a slow and low cook until the fire at the end 250F for about 1.5 hours. A 50/50 mix of ground pork and beef used to make a 6 oz burger. A nice hot fire for searing. Searing the flip side. The mushrooms were on for the entire cook except for the searing time. Plated. Nice and juicy and tasty. 1
tony b Posted April 13, 2015 Report Posted April 13, 2015 AWESOME looking burger!! Funky idea to slather the mushrooms in mayo!
tinyfish Posted April 13, 2015 Report Posted April 13, 2015 Looks very tasty and those mushrooms kick butt. I did a couple stuffed mushrooms tonight too but I dare not post a picture of mine next to yours.
MacKenzie Posted April 13, 2015 Author Report Posted April 13, 2015 tinyfish, it's all in the eye of the beholder. I'd like to see what you did and I'm sure others would too:)
CeramicChef Posted April 13, 2015 Report Posted April 13, 2015 MacKenzie - that's one seriously sumptuous cook you cooked up! Now I'm not a big fan of fungus, but those stuffed mushrooms look mighty tempting and that burger is just outta this world! Congrats!
ckreef Posted April 13, 2015 Report Posted April 13, 2015 Great cook. I really love the searing pictures. You captured the color of the fire perfectly. That is a feat that has eluded me thus far. I need to figure out my camera better.
GrillingMontana Posted April 14, 2015 Report Posted April 14, 2015 Amazing looking cook all the way around! Thanks for sharing!
