About 2 years ago, I found a pre-packaged poutine (frozen fries, a package of gravy, and a package of cheese curds), I believe it was in Trader Joes. I've looked a few times since and haven't seen it again. The fries weren't good and the gravy was worse... but the cheese curds were pretty good. If your store carries them, they will be with the better/gourmet cheeses and not with the prepackaged slices and blocks. I have several stores here where I can get them, including my standard supermarket. MacKenzie posted a nice photo of cheese curds, so you know what they look like.
cschaaf Posted March 1, 2016 Report Posted March 1, 2016 I consider myself lucky if Walmart has blue cheese in the gourmet cheese case here. "Shredded Cheddar" is the answer to any cheese question here.

MacKenzie Posted March 3, 2016 Author Report Posted March 3, 2016 Thanks to you, Jon, I have a great recipe that I'll make many times.:)
ckreef Posted March 3, 2016 Report Posted March 3, 2016 Nice cheese curds and burger pictures. Yummy. There is a Fresh Market that carries a lot of gourmet cheeses. I'll look next time I go to Macon.
tony b Posted March 4, 2016 Report Posted March 4, 2016 Bet you'll find them at Fresh Market. I was overjoyed when we got ours here. First one in Iowa. I shop there every week.
