MacKenzie Posted July 25, 2016 Author Report Posted July 25, 2016 Bruce, I shouldn't admit this but sometimes it's the only reason I do a salad is to get the dressing.
CeramicChef Posted July 25, 2016 Report Posted July 25, 2016 @MacKenzie - don't feel bad! I have been known to really LOVE a salad with Catalina Dressing on it. As a matter of fact, I have a bottle in the refrigerator door right now! In fact, the only reason I eat Kale is that its a delivery system for Catalina Dressing!
tony b Posted July 25, 2016 Report Posted July 25, 2016 Thank God! For a minute there, I was worried that it might be ketchup - WHEW!
Shuley Posted July 26, 2016 Report Posted July 26, 2016 Shuley, that sauce on the side is Kraft Catalina Salad dressing. I don't know why but I love that stuff, always have. I can't remember what Catalina salad dressing tastes like. I haven't had it in forever!
Bruce Pearson Posted July 26, 2016 Report Posted July 26, 2016 It's very good one of my favorites. I haven't got to the stage were I make my own yet, however I like straight balsamic vinegar on salads also.
MacKenzie Posted July 26, 2016 Author Report Posted July 26, 2016 Hey, Tony, guess what, the clone recipe calls for ketchup.
dstr8 Posted July 27, 2016 Report Posted July 27, 2016 Nice cook MacKenzie! Chicken thighs are a mainstay when we go camping. Boneless + Italian dressing + lemon zest + fresh oregano...they sit in a ziplock in the DC 'fridge for a couple days...a quick, delicious and relatively healthy meal + green salad. Oh so satisfying, home or camp, just like your's!
MacKenzie Posted July 27, 2016 Author Report Posted July 27, 2016 dstr, thanks. Your version of the chicken thighs also sounds delicious and to think I have fresh oregano in the garden. Just finished drying 4 two cup size mason jars for the winter.
