So do I. Now that I think about it, I didn't actually get to eat any on the night. It all got munched up so fast! Yup. Green light and all that. They wrote yesterday to say that the replacement would soon be on its way. They didn't say what went wrong with the first one but there was no suggestion that the returned item was OK. I might just ask. I agree that the lack of wires is good but not working means it is no good to man or beast. Only because I was going to use the same pans later for the potatoes and I didn't want a load of dry, encrusted fat in the pans. Thanks for the info on the variability of the fire. Will be more observant in future. Using skewers is convenient but they limit your ability to move things around as you much as you might need to. Anyway, now on to other stuff. Today is burn in day for Meat. Wish me and him luck!

I was making a sauce for Jerk Chicken wings and had to buy some Habernaros. Now I'm not a pepper officiado at all, so I gave it bite, they looked so nice and orange and all. Let me tell ya Purple crack don't stand a chance next to this demon. Although it does warm the lips for a 1/2 hr or so, and don't scratch your nose cause it spreads, could be good for the chapped lips.

Believe me (or not), MEATER is not the worst Kickstarter campaign that I've been in - by far! They've been pretty upfront about the delays (which were extensive!!) and they have actually shipped product. I'm in other campaigns that have been far worse about lack of communication/openness. One actually came back after a whole year of no updates and had the gall to ask for more money to help them finish the project (documentary.) Won't bore you with the actual details; I just wanted to put this Kickstarter campaign (MEATER) into perspective with the truly bad ones! Most are very good about updates, candor, etc. In fact, I got a Kickstarter campaign reward in today's mail - unannounced (no advanced notice email with tracking number.) They only missed their delivery target by a month, very good by Kickstarter standards. YMMV

Nicely done sir duck master looks great the effort is well worth it. someone was selling one of those probes down here that they got from the kick start real cheap think it was like 30 dollars .but I let it slide oh well .@ckreef- I'd be on to them don't like the way they are handling the situation after they got the coin Outback kamado Bar and Grill

MEATER seems to be working well. My screened in porch above my KK’s gets perfect reception. Put my phone there and monitoring on iPad in comfort indoors. Apologies to @ckreef. Understand the frustration. Not trying to rub it in, but think you’ll be pleased if/when you get your MEATER.
