  3. This has been 3 years in the making. Progress was slow for the first two years but this past summer we decided to push for the completion. Everything you see was done by me and Mrs skreef. No contractors were involved. Small walk-in wet bar, expanded pantry, reclaimed wood on the walls, stained rustic molding, new doors, shelves, everything. The room features a Olhausen pine log pool table, Dart board and shuffle board. The walls are decorated with games and such. Most of them antiques but not everything. We still need to do some finishing touches but that will happen as time allows. The pool table. Pool accessories and darts. Some interesting antique board games. Blacksmith type hand puzzles and Macy's mobile. Games above the shuffle board. Walk-in wet bar. Small fishing section and small barrels. Window to the wet bar. Early 70's Japanese pachinko machine and Chinese cheakers. And last but not least a magic wall. We hope you enjoyed the pictures. The game room was a fantastic improvement for the house. We enjoy it nightly.

  5. Snow, bah! Can't let a bit of snow keep you from grilling. The forecast was wrong (surprise!) and the snow storm didn't pan out this afternoon (we'll see if the overnight snow will be a make-up for the afternoon!) Fired up the KK to do a Mojo marinated pork tenderloin. While I was grilling, spotted these guys next door having a snack under the neighbor's bird feeders. Plated with some drunken black beans, Caribbean rice and one of my favorite beers - Bell's Hopslam. It only comes out once a year around this time in limited quantities, so you have to be on your toes (or lucky in my case) to score some! Keep on grillin'!!

  7. That presents a challenge there sir. Having a 23 as I have, things will have to go piece meal. You can't shoot all your guns at once but, add some magic to those legs, wire em up to the shaft and see what happens. Wishin I were a fly on the wall

  10. Not much more snow in the immediate forecast, but the temps have plummeted. Several days ahead where the High temp for the day won't break 0F!! Now that's brrrr! I see lots of indoor cooking in my future!

  16. Glad that I got in my cook last night. Karma's a bitch sometimes! Woke up this morning to a new 6" of the white stuff, on top of what we already had gotten on Saturday. At least it's sunny today and barely any wind, so snowblowing the drive and walk wasn't too terrible. Wind is supposed to pick up later, dropping the windchills below zero. So, probably not going to grill out tonight!

  17. A non KK cook tonight. Home made stuffed meatballs and home made garlic bread, this garlic bread recipe calls for poaching the garlic then reducing a balsamic and sugar syrup which then gets spread throughout the dough, first time making it and it definitely won’t be the last! 18. Love Jerky and so do the dogs. When there is Jerky around in the frig I always have company. The KK is fantastic 180-190 degrees for 3 hrs, held temp like a rock. Smoked with a little chunk of hickory. Could have done more on the 23 but was my first attempt of jerky on the KK so I wasn't sure how much meat to cut up. Easy cook to do if your a fan of jerky
