  1. It’s done. Close this week. The Tucker boxes get to do their thing next weekend. Stay tuned...

  2. Good to know Tekobo. Makes sense, the snout is all glutinous connective tissue and a bit bland on its own. FYI, half a head provides conservatively 4 meals. That also went in frozen, direct, cut side down first, only flipped once and crackled up nicely. Internal temp ended up around 75c( 165f). That pigs ear looked like a silk purse by the end......[emoji854] just kidding, the dog loved it! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  4. I went hunting through old photos to find the one time I cooked a pig's head for dinner. It was 2008. Basher's point explains why four of us found this whole head daunting!!!

  6. I've seen Old Hickory knives, but never owned one. At $17 a clip, a set of 10 would get pricey! Yeah, non-serrated steak knives are not the norm anymore. I have a nice set of Cutco, but they are serrated. Quick Amazon search found this set from Chicago Cutlery, who make good knives. Maybe you can get them Downunder? https://smile.amazon.com/Chicago-Cutlery-1134937-Fusion-Pieces/dp/B07L3LBSV4 This set looks really nice, but a bit pricey, but it's only a set of 8. Not very familiar with Dalstrong, so I can't say much about their quality. Good reviews though. https://smile.amazon.com/DALSTRONG-Steak-Knives-Folding-Block/dp/B07ZJPXZDL

  10. Baked a give away loaf of sourdough bread today. Started it yesterday and did an overnight ferment. It does smell sour.

  11. Started some bread yesterday and baked it today on my new Tandoori oven. Stretched the dough out this morning just before baking. One side done.

  12. Coming along. The boys will be positioned just outside that open door to the right. Trading the forest view in my current house for the mountains.
