@jdbower - welcome to the KK Family! You're really going to love cooking on your 32BB; I know I really love cooking on my 32, TheBeast. You'll be surprised how easy it is to get to kow your cooker. To move your KK, as was mentioned above, you need a couple of sheets of 1/2" Oriented Strand Board ( OSB is better than regular plywood) and help. I found 3 folks to be ideal. Once you get as much mass as your 32 moving you'll find you need 3 people to do this job smoothly. Your questions are always welcome here, so ask always! Again, welcome aboard!

Wile I'm a Ducth Oven smoke pot guy, I'm going to try this. It never hurts to have another arrow in the quiver. This is a good idea that I've never seen done. Thanks for the idea!

Looks hardly used at all. That inside dome pic is just barely grey. This is a gem. -
another newbie question - how to use as smoker
CeramicChef replied to JDBBQ's topic in KK Pre-Sales Questions
The smoke pot is what I went to quite some time back. It's simply a superior solution to the problem of making certain you get smoke on a cook. Also, I use only chunks in the pot and I fill in the interstitial spaces with pellets. That gives a really nice long smoke. As for chips, that's what I use in Las Vegas to place bets. And absolutely yes, a kamado is every bit as good as a dedicated smoker and much more versatile. My KKs roast, braise, bake, smoke, grill, and cook pizzas and desserts. No dedicated smoker can do that. -
I've been down under several times and I'm always amazed at the size of the saltwater crocs, "salties" as they're called. They get to be HUGE ... and they're agile, mobile, and hostile. Really impressive, especially compared to our American Crocs. When all is said and done, that's one very big lizard! Wonder if he likes BBQ?

@shuley - first, I hope you and your husband had the happiest anniversary ever and I wish you and he many, many more years of wedded bliss. Congrats to you both. Secomd, this is a beautiful cook. I'm certain it was tasty beyond measure. Kudos on the cook and kudos on the anniversary.

@Aussie Ora - great pics! I love that plated shot as well as the condiments on that plate. Beautifully done. I love cheek meat and that looks wonderful. Congrats!

@Aussie Ora - thanks for the encouragement. Every once in a great while i stumble onto/into something good. Those gourmet burgers were really good.
-
@Shuley - thanks for those very kind words. You really should try making BBBs. Knowing your talents, you'll take them to a whole new level. I look forward to seeing that cook here!

@MacKenzie - didn't know that today was International Beer Day. Yes, there is a God. Or as Ben Franklin (no relation to Aaron) once said, "Beer is proof God Loves mankind." or words to that effect. Those burgers did indeed go quite well with beer. Several beers in fact!
-
Dadgummit those look positively delish! May I have 3 please?

All I knew was nonlinear dynamic systems theory, math stat, math econ, and econometrics and now I'm lucky to be able to solve a quadratic using Wolfram Alpha! How quickly we forget.

As was said above ... nothing but a bad flower pot!

@Steve M - Delirium has indeed been in business for quite a while. Tremens was judged to the 3rd best in the world about 2-3 years ago. Great beer. I only wish my burgers were up to such august company as the Delirium beers. They are first rate. My burgers on the other hand were good by most standards, but by mine ... meh. I've done better. I needed more spice. I'll keep everyone posted. Thanks for the compliment. It's appreciated.
