Kevin, that's one of the original and funniest posts I've read in forever! Kudos!
-
@KevinD - I used a couple of sheets of 1/2" OSB and 3 friends to move TheBeast around the house to the back porch. It is decidedly NOT a job for one. It can be done, but it would be a helluva workout. If there is any kind of slope, forget it! I bribed my guys with beer and BBQ. They are serious BBQ fans so it was a no brainer who I called!
-
@BBQKaeding - nicely done! When I throw big galas over 20 folks, I tend to send leftovers home with guests rather than keep everything. I'm not a big fan of that much hiding in the leftover bin. That has changed a bit with my purchase of the Anova Sous Vide. That makes rewarming leftovers a snap and it preserves the original flavor and texture. Thats a very nice gathering and an even better menu for them! Kudos to you.

A great shot of Perth this morning from a drone
CeramicChef replied to Aussie Ora's topic in Jokes, Ribbin' & Misc Banter!
Stunning shot! Perth was my first stop when I first hit Australia almost 35-40 years ago. What a great town! I couldn't buy a drink (Shout)! And those crazy Aussies drink scotch out of ice tea tumblers! But a finer group of folks you've never met. They are a MUCH different group of blokes from the guys on the other side of OZ. After all is said and done here in OKC, I may just have to go down under for a LONG walkabout. -
A little sooner than expected and hello from NC

And now we all know why we bought a KK ... Dennis, style, Dennis, durability, Dennis, great food, and Dennis! Congrats to you Nuprin! We're glad you're here with us. Welcome again! PS, I'm really liking that green! -
@BBQKaeding - geez Louise! That is some kind of GRAND plan on the KK, the Mushis, and on the table. Looks great! If anyone left hungry, it was their own fault, right? What a spread. how many folks were there? I'm really liking that Hound's Tooth we've on your KK. Very nice!

@xraydoc - one word ... XANAX! Write the script in your wife's name, have her fill it, and start chewing those puppies like Skittles! Welcome to The Club!
-
I say just let @KevinD discover for himself. We kind of did, so should he! But I do wanna see more pics!
-
Tony, those pics are out of this world! I love the marketing shot. That really a shot that shows what can be done with a KK. The plated money shot left me drooling, and I'm not that big a lamb fan. Kudos my Friend!
-
I absolutely LOVE stuffed figs. They are a wonderful taste especially with the counterpoint of the mildly tart taste of the cheese. I also like just a hint of spicy heat ... something like jalapeño or cayenne pepper.
-
As the KK Forum fish expert, I am Catholic!, I declare that to be a wonderful haddock cook on the KK! Great peas and great potatoes. Mega Mackerel Snapper Kudos to you, @MacKenzie!
-
@KevinD - late tomorrow morning, huh? THAT'S GREAT! DEO GRATIAS! (That's the Catholic School Boy in my coming out.) You're going to really love your new KK.
-
+1^ and +1^^
-
I love stuffed figs! It's a favorite around here and they disappear in a BIG hurry. I'll often do cream cheese with some finally diced Jalapeños mixed in. I'll also wrap the figs in thick sliced and peppered back. There area a thousand variations and i've done at least 1,500 of 'em! I"m gonna try this goat cheese variant. Thanks, Tony!

Charles, how many plates did you dodge on the way to safety?
-
Great money shot and one helluva cook! Kudos to you, Shelly! Keep up the great cooks!

I'm into the Zen camp at this point in life. I got tired of most the quant stuff when I discovered Woodford Reserve!
-
+1^ Crazy doesn't even come close to the word that you would use to describe your "Journey" into KK Country! And you're better for the journey, right @bosco!?

I have a thing for good champagne. I'm going to do this and sub champagne. Great idea, Tony!

23&32" from Steven Raichlen's BBQ U available
CeramicChef replied to DennisLinkletter's topic in KK Announcements
Dennis, I thought that financing was available, I just wanted to make sure for everyone who might be considering those Raichlen KKs. Hope your PT is going well and that you and the family are doing well and enjoying life. TTYL. -
AMEN! Another engineer in the crowd ... welcome to the warped side! However, if you're like me, when you do get your KK, you'll wonder why you waited so long and you'll find that backyard cooking just got easier and your cooking abilities just got much better! My KKs have made me a MUCH better cook than I ever was on any other cooker I've ever owned. And I'm so tight I squeak when I blink!

+1^ Buying fine, superfine, and ultra fine sugar is a waste of money. When I need any of those grades, i just put the sugar in the Vita Mix or food processor and WHAM! Problem solved.
