WTF? Tell me you're yankin' my crank! An electric skillet? CK, do I need to come out there and slap some sense into your addled brain? You've got a KK sittin' in The Bistro and you're using an electric skillet? I don't care how tasty that cook looks, I'm thinking if vacation doesn't stop the madness, it's time to rally the troops and do an intervention! Who's joining me in saving an errant ckreef? I don't think it's contagious, skreef hasn't joined in the apostasy, so all we need to do is intervene, tie up ckreef, and blow some oak smoke up his ....ahhhhh....nostrils. Sure, that's the ticket. Oak smoke up his nostrils! Nice cook! Kudos, but my son, your penance will be severe.

Cooks that I messed up this weekend (ribeye, chicken, Italian sausage)
CeramicChef replied to wilburpan's topic in KK Cooking
Wilbur - I should get so dadgummed lucky to mess up cooks like you did! Even your messed up cooks are better than 95% of what most folks can get right! I'll tell you what, Buddy ... you have any more mess ups like this that you and the family just can't quite bear to have to chocke down ... CALL ME! I'll take it all off your hands and buy you 5lbs of ground chuck to ease the pain! Very nice cooks, as usual, Wilbur! Kudos to you and Smaug! -
mtrejo - strategic thinking taking that Cooper name off the table! Major congrats on the pending birth of your son. I couldn't be happier for you both. Here's wishing you and your Bride an absolutely uneventful remainder of the pregnancy and an easy delivery. Congratulations!

CK - and there I had it figured I was the only Philistine in the bunch! At least I'm not pulling oars in the boat alone! Welcome aboard, CK.

LOL! So, that sounds like plan! Do you have a shed out back I can use for sleeping?
-
MacKenzie - I don't even like wings, but I'd scarf those wings down in a New York second they look so good! Kudos.
-
tiny - now that's some kind of wing cook! I see your OCD shining through the way those wings are lined up! LOL! Nicely done Tony!

I'll be back raising hell before you know it! Iam too dadgummed ornery to stay down too long.

Not yet, Bryan, not quite yet.

CK - I just don't have the strength right now at this point to even think about it! I haven't even thought about lighting a fire in either Beauty! or TheBeast. Just getting out of bed to go eat is a struggle. I've coughed so much my sides hurt. But, this too shall pass.

Date? What date?

Ok. That's it! I've just about had it. Charles, you or Suzy taunt me one more time and I'm moving into your house. I buy, you cook, we'll talk about cleaning after dinner! What a killer, and I mean KILLER delight! Amazing desert!

KKers, being the good Catholic boy I am, and a former Altar Boy of the Year, I have a confession to make. I buy big jars of already peeled garlic at Sam's Club. There, I said it! I only peel garlic when I'm out of the prepeeled or I use elephant ear garlic. And I use a peeling mat when I peel garlic. Just roll it up around the garlic, a few rolls back and forth, and I'm done. Mea culpa, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa! At this stage in life, I'm more about good food done as easy as possible rather than haute cuisine done the old fashioned way.
-
MacKenzie - I'm mending, but not quick enough! The Doc gave me an inhaler and that seems to do some good, but the best thing is time and my stellar immune system! But that said, there is a lot to be said for good old chicken soup. It's been a go-to cure since before Moses and The Tribes walked out of Egypt.

In Search of the Holy Grail - Super Clean Smoke
CeramicChef replied to Cookie's topic in Smoking Woods
Cookie - your post sounds as if you are an engineer/scientist. Are you? -
Welcome to the KK Klub! You are in for a real treat with your new KK. So what's the first cook going to be? Have you named your new KK? We're glad you're here and we look forward to your posts and pic of the cooks on your KK!

It's good to live where the pigs do - Part Deux
CeramicChef replied to tony b's topic in Lagniappe Photos
Tony - the pig is indeed a noble beast and proof that God loves us (with apologies to beer and Ben Franklin). Manufactured pork these days just seems to miss something. Heritage breeds are so very tasty. -
MacKenzie - I've been flat on my back all week with a terrible bronchial infection. That chicken soup look like exactly what the Doctor ordered! I'm feeingl better all ready. Thanks for a wonderful bowl of soup!
-
tony - we do those spiral dogs all the time for kids at parties here at ChezChef. Kids absolutely love 'em! I've had more than one mom call me asking how to get those dogs spiral cut. Once the kid sees it, the kid won't eat a regular dog! Makes a killer chili dog. And it works very well on hot links, brats, etc.

Aiden - welcome to the KK family! Your wheels will be just fine on concrete. I've moved my KK BB 32", a very heavy KK, several times on concrete and the wheels are just like the day my KK rolled onto the patio. You'll soon learn your KK is really over engineered and just about bullet proof.

Absolutely priceless, Dennis. And again, now I know why I paid the big bucks for uncompromised excellence! Flashback recovery alert system! LOL!

I love peeling about a couple dozen cloves of garlic, putting them them in a proclean dish, cover them with olive oil and popping it in the oven/kamado at 250-275 for about an hour until quite soft. At the end, I've got some wonderful garlic infused olive oil and garlic cloves that spreads on toast points like butter. Top with some fresh diced tomatoes with minced herbs and it's one great appiteaser! I'm so dadgummed hungry for spaghetti thanks to you guys I can't stand it!

That's just solid good food! Kudos, MacKenzie!

Bryan - these are remarkable. The neighborhood kids are gonna do backflips across the yard on out 4 of July cookout! Your the man!
