  1. Thanks everyone very tasty. It had 1 Tbsp curry powder and 1 tsp cumin so it was packed full of flavor. The lemon mellowed out the curry a good bit but if you don't like curry this wouldn't be for you. I loved it. Thought it was one of my better recent cooks. . It was in the DO for about 2 1/2 hours. The first 45 minutes and the last 30 minutes were with the top off. In the end I put the liquid which had thickened up a good bit through a fat separator before pouring back on. . Reef's Bistro
  2. TY Aussie Joe (hopefully soon to be Aussie KK) for nudging me in the right direction with this cook. . Braised Lamb Shoulder Chops with a tomato, curry, lemon sauce with carrots and onions. Served with wild rice. . Let's get to it. . Slightly caramelized the carrots, onions and lemon. . Pan seared the Lamb shoulder chops. . Deglazed the pan with the red wine/beef broth mixture then dump everything in a Dutch oven. . Almost done. . Dinner is served. Outstanding flavor combination. Will definitely do this again. 4. TY dstr8 - taco aren't just for tacos. I've even made breakfast tacos that had a bacon weave taco that I used the rack to form the bacon into a taco shell shape. Reef's Bistro
  5. Didn't have a bottle of wine although I'm sure I had a mixed drink or three - how else does one get anything accomplished around the grill Reef's Bistro
  6. I have no skin in this game but if you are not going 50/50 then I would do the majority in CoffeeChar. . If I was ordering a pallet it would be 100% CoffeeChar but that's just me. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  7. My only negative thought was he could have given you a few more seconds and maybe a little description when they were listing the sponsors at the very beginning of the show. . All in all a nice showing. Can't wait to see the next one. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  8. Thanks everyone - we love this basic cook, the flavor combination is outstanding. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  9. Sprayed the rack with grape seed oil beforehand. They popped right out. . I've used the taco rack this way numerous times before. Great for when the chops are just not quite thick enough to stand on their own. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  10. Very sad the Man Cave videos had to be taken down. There was a lot of good ones. John does a great job with the KJ videos but hasn't covered all that he did in the Man Cave Videos. . Fresh Blueberries ripe for picking on the bushes. Will have to give this a go. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk

  14. Episode 203 is now available to watch on pbs dot org. Me and Mrs skreef just finished watching it. He did a decent job showing some of the KK's features and the pork belly looked tasty. All round decent show. I like that they showed a few behind the scenes shots. . http://www.pbs.org/video/2365760759/ Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  15. Sort of funky on a salad but once I tasted it I knew it had possibilities just not on salad. Biggest problem is I've only seen it in these little to go packets and only at certain Walmarts Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  16. Never had steelhead trout before but it was only $1 per lb more than salmon so what the heck. . Grilled on a Eastern White Cedar plank with a mapple bourbon glaze. Served with Chipotle Mango sizzle corn. . Just a couple of on grill pictures. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk

  18. Totally awesome. I've done peaches, pineapple and Watermelon but never grapes. Will have to give that a try. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  19. I found that to be fairly accurate for the first 2 rows. Not so much for the last 2 rows as I never need to open the top vent more than 3 turns. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  20. Thick loin chops stuffed with wild rice and cooked in a taco rack sitting on Grill Grates. Served with sage and brown sugar seasoned apples and onions. A quick and easy weeknight meal. . 24. I've been reading this thread and trying to keep up without going to sleep. . BBQ isn't science it's an art form. This is sucking the fun out of BBQ. Just my opinion don't hate me for it. . Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
