  1. Repeat is looking good to me. Charles - Prometheus 16.5", Cassiopeia 19" TT
  2. Another long Saturday but we got a pond installed. A few more plants and a couple more tweaks and this project will be a wrap. . Charles - Prometheus 16.5", Cassiopeia 19" TT
  3. Very tasty looking and your money shots are fantastic. Charles - Prometheus 16.5", Cassiopeia 19" TT
  4. This one came out fantastic. Went together without too much fuss. I like when cooks work out the way they are planned. Charles - Prometheus 16.5", Cassiopeia 19" TT
  5. I had some small scallop shells already but that wasn't going to do for these large scallops. The recipe I followed had a link to a website that sells scallop shells so I bought six king scallop shells. They are almost 6" in diameter. Figured I'd be able to use them for a few other cooks. . Money shot didn't come out exactly the way I wanted but decent enough. One day I'll get me a nice camera. Charles - Prometheus 16.5", Cassiopeia 19" TT
  6. My Italian entry for the April Guru Challenge. . Saffron Scallops served with a side salad of tomato and mozzarella and a basil/garlic bruschetto. . Bruschetto ingredients. . . Gently saute the garlic in OO. Set aside to cool. . . . Chop and mix all ingredients. Cover and rest in refrigerator for a couple of hours to let all the flavors mingle and infuse. . . Tomato and mozzarella salad ingredients. . . Saffron Scallops ingredients. . . Toasted baguette. . . Large scallops, CI Seared at 450* for 2 minutes each side for a perfect MD - the way scallops should be served. . . Loved this meal. . . I've never cooked with saffron before - I'll do it again. . I hate bruschetto - let me rephrase - I hate chain restaurant bruschetto (they always overdose it with onion). By far the best bruschetto I've ever eaten and I have a couple of ideas to make it even better. Charles - Prometheus 16.5", Cassiopeia 19" TT
  7. Feed the help that's the way to do it. Hell I'll work for a fine KK meal anytime. Charles - Prometheus 16.5", Cassiopeia 19" TT
  8. Nah we're just playing - we are definitely not getting another KK. Two is more than sufficient for our 3 person family. . Right now Mrs skreef is frantically trying to get me to fill up the garden space so I don't get the idea to pull the trigger on a Fornetto wood fired oven. Oh wait I already have that idea running around in my head. I just think "she needs" a dedicated wood fired oven - LOL Charles - Prometheus 16.5", Cassiopeia 19" TT
  9. I use mine mainly as a diffuser and to catch grease so it doesn't go down into the KK. Charles - Prometheus 16.5", Cassiopeia 19" TT
  10. You better watch out for Aashni. She is going to fall in love with that KK and want one of her own. Turn away Rak - LOL Charles - Prometheus 16.5", Cassiopeia 19" TT
  11. I'll agree with@churchi double bottom drip pan all the way. I use mine as a deflector/drip pan way more than the standard deflector and separate drip pan. Charles - Prometheus 16.5", Cassiopeia 19" TT
  12. Kewl, so your going to get your own KK just for baking? What size and color are you looking at? LOL . . . See how that works - LOL Charles - Prometheus 16.5", Cassiopeia 19" TT
  13. Get on with it. Now is the right time to start. Even if you just do a few planters or buckets you'll be glad you did. Charles - Prometheus 16.5", Cassiopeia 19" TT
  14. The CoffeeChar lump is really good lump. I wish I would have ordered a whole bunch when I had the chance. . I don't like Cocochar. Yes it has no flavor profile but once heated to a certain point it gets really brittle and will disintegrate into powder if you look at it sideways (okay exaggerated a little). If you had two lump baskets, one for only Cocochar it would be manageable but I only have one lump basket so I rarely use it. I have a few boxes in the shed that will probably be there for the next 10 years unless I give them away. Sorry Cocochar fans .......... It is what it is .... Charles - Prometheus 16.5", Cassiopeia 19" TT
  15. Jez you didn't have to guess it so quickly - LOL. Small 125 gallon pond with a 8 gallon water fall. Sunk down into the ground with matching flag stones all around. . Mrs skreef has had ponds in the past but this will be my first. Should be interesting. Charles - Prometheus 16.5", Cassiopeia 19" TT
  16. Getting ready for this weekends, garden upgrade. What could it be? I'll never tell ........... . But it should be sort of kewl so stay tuned. . Charles - Prometheus 16.5", Cassiopeia 19" TT
  17. I'd go heavy on the CoffeeChar lump and lighter on the Cocochar. Charles - Prometheus 16.5", Cassiopeia 19" TT
  18. . We only get a few this early. I think they stop over to rest and let it warm up a bit before migrating farther North. Maybe this little guy will make it all the way up to you . I like putting the feeders out early so they stop in every year. . The major bulk of the humming birds will start showing up around the middle of May. Charles - Prometheus 16.5", Cassiopeia 19" TT
  19. Nothing wrong with just burgers. Charles - Prometheus 16.5", Cassiopeia 19" TT
  20. Speedy recovery. Charles - Prometheus 16.5", Cassiopeia 19" TT
  21. First customer of the year. . Charles - Prometheus 16.5", Cassiopeia 19" TT
  22. Very nice. Now I remember - you live in FL not to far from my sister's house. I might be willing sometime to visit for a day or two and get some flag stones laid down. My 14' x 14' area was really just one days work even though I split it over 2 days. My sister is planning to visit this summer but I usually go to her house once a year. Maybe early fall this year. I'll let you know. Charles - Prometheus 16.5", Cassiopeia 19" TT
  23. If I'm not mistaken the side tables come with hooks that attach at the KK bolts. Not sure if you can get them separately or not. Charles - Prometheus 16.5", Cassiopeia 19" TT
  24. I like the gutter idea too - that was brilliant. Charles - Prometheus 16.5", Cassiopeia 19" TT
  25. Nice herb garden Firemonkey. You got a whole lot packed in there. Charles - Prometheus 16.5", Cassiopeia 19" TT
