    Early Christmas

You nailed it mate!! Well done.
  2. Im not sure i can enable that option on the IPB software @mguerra. But let me look around and see if its an option that i would be able to enable. I do tend to agree that referencing the post with a URL is a good way of doing things. But let me check it out for you.
  3. Welcome to the club mate. Congrats on the purchase. My 32" has the black pebbles and it looks stunning in the backyard. You are going to love cooking on the KK. Purchase lots of charcoal and have it ready for when it arrives. Remember, we all love pics on this site. So the unboxing thread is a must and the first cook too. Welcome and cant wait to see your progress on the KK.
  4. wow mate, ive never made bacon. But love it for a weekend breaky. Going to have to give this a try. nice work.
  5. Great job @HalfSmoke. The meat is cooked to perfection. Bread looks amazing too.
  6. on ya mate. love my rib eyes, however a good porter has some nice flavour. how long it take you to get ora up to temp?
  7. awesome job mate, reminds me its time to cook up a few on my KK. cant wait.
  8. looks awesome mac, you keep your grill sooo clean
  9. Dam aussie that looks mad!! Gotta try some of these myself. You think the basket splitter is the way to go with these kind of cooks? Not just spinning them over the nice burning coals? ive not given the splitter a go in my 32.
  10. Nice one Aussie, killer idea for Halloween
  11. Awesome thanks mate. Going to go get one of these pots this weekend. Do you find you need to bury the pot in the coal so you can put the drip pan and sit it flat? I am guessing the pot sticks out of the coals a bit.
  12. Cheers mate, will let you know how it goes. Gunna give it a shot on the weekend.
  13. @Aussie Ora, are you able to use the smoking wood for another cook? or you think its no good after one cook? Also do you think you needed to have the chips in there too or just the chunks would have been enough?
  14. Wow mate, killer job. Time for me to try this too
  15. @tony b I think i know what you mean here (maybe). When you edit your post, do you see a garbage can icon in the bottom right of the corner of the image? If you do can you click that and see if that removes the image for you? It may look see through and hard to find.
  16. With the attachments, if we allow users to delete/manage their attachments we will end up loosing images (by accident or deliberate) in topics throughout the forum. I think its best to leave them there and just upload a new image if required. It would be good to have an edit/delete time for those images, so you can replace them if required, but not delete any others that are linked to topics. Unfortunately that option is not coded into the software. Ill suggest a feature request. Do you all think the extended editing time may help to ease the issues pointed out here, or is there still a tech issue that needs to be solved? cheers
  17. Thanks for testing @MacKenzie, when you can produce the issue please let me know and ill do my best to get it fixed for you. Also, I have extended the 10 minutes to 60 minutes for members and 6 hours for owners. Do you think that is enough time or its too long to allow a user to edit? @tony b, would you mind if we test out the 60 and 6 houors and see how that goes? The reason here is that if you are replying to a post, if you keep changing the text or editing it, then the replies users have posted in the meantime may not be in context for the readers who look at the thread at a later stage. Thats the general reason i see for this option. Happy to make further changes to the time if required. Cheers
  18. It seems i cant allow users to delete or hide their replies without allowing them to hide/delete their topics as well. I was not aware the users had that option, it much have been setup like that before i came on board. Im glad someone had pointed out the issue, so i have been able to quickly fix it up. so thanks to @billg71 and @Stile88 for fine tuning this. @Stile88 spot on, the (s)mods had access (before my time here) to delete posts from any user. I have now removed this so they can now only hide them, so the content can still be left behind and only admins can delete posts. This should keep things consistent (not that there ever was a problem in the past). Thanks for your help on this. I will move this thread to the forum improvements section.
  19. Thanks for the reply @billg71, i completely agree with you. I have disabled the hide and delete your own content feature here. Great points you raised and i dont want to see content going missing either. If there is an issue with a post a mod or admin can help to adjust it. Appreciate your time in helping to get this issue found and a fix put in place.
  20. @billg71, that will hide the whole topic if you created it or just hide the reply that you made. (I have just unhidden the topic). Is this a better option, or just take away the hide option altogether?
  21. @billg71, can you try it please? i can un hide it for you. I think it will hide the whole thread, but not delete it this time. I can take away the hide option too then you can only remove your posts you create and not the whole thread.
  22. Thanks @billg71, i cant seem to replicate the problem on my test account. Can you log out then back in please. I have made a small permission change. Thanks.
  23. Hi @billg71, do you still have that option to delete the thread? You have been moved into the owners group by Dennis, so wondering if that option is still there for you. If its not then i know where the issue lies. So @Stile88, Would it be best to allow users not to delete their post, rather just hide it? I think this will solve the issue that @billg71 came across where the post was accidentally deleted.
  24. Hi @billg71, Im sorry to hear you have lost your post. I too have had a look around and i cant see where i can undelete it. I can only suggest that you write up the post again when you get a moment. Sorry about that mate.
  25. I have ordered the meater block so i believe it will bluetooth to the block, then wifi back to the cloud then your app. i hope thats the way they have sold me on it! This means i dont have to be in bluetooth distance which is not how i want a wifi meat probe to work. it has to be wifi so it can connect to my internet at home.
