  1. Great looking ribs, Newg4. Nice to know you can get results like that without foil. I've gotta try some..
  2. Bacon Cheeseburgers on the KK this evening. Seems like the simplest meals are still my favorites.

Geo, I've said it before and no doubt I'll say it again- it is difficult to beat a burger on the KK and adding the bacon, cheese and tomato just puts it over the top. :) :smt023 :smt023

    How to... CoCo Char

Cooked boneless skinless chicken breasts over CoCo Char. Breasts had been seasoned with garlic & ? at a local market. Put on KK at 350 (Direct). Used my Oregon Scientific wireless thermometer, which proved to be a mistake. That thermometer sets temp to 180 for chicken, and I didn't notice it until the chicken hit 170. Still tasted good, but wasn't as moist as I'm used to. I can't change the settings on the thermometer, so I'll just have to remember that error in the future.

Okay, Tony. Here are your pictures... Sorry for for the humor. It's the Iowa Boy coming out in me. (Born and raised in Rockwell City). Will send chicken pictures. Hopefully later today.

    How to... CoCo Char

I'm wanting to try some of the CoCo Char. Would appreciate some assistance on how to use it. I presume that I break it into pieces a few inches long. Do I put in enough to cover the bottom of the basket? Do I pile it up? Do I light it in more than one place? Any other suggestions? Thanks Geo
  7. That pulled pork looks wonderful, Rick. Later this summer, I need to cook 2 pork butts for a fundraiser, and seeing how you did it, along with the comments of others, should really help. Thanks for posting, and the great pictures.
  8. Glad to see what resembles a smile on your face. Hope the pain subsides soon.
  9. That's one Incredible-looking burger, MacK. Yummy!
  10. Wanted to try a pizza on the KK. Looked at all the wonderful pictures that so many of you had posted, and decided to order King Arthur Pizza Flour. Couldn't wait for it to arrive, so got a pizza crust mix, and made that up. Figured it would be good practice before making a pizza from scratch. Obviously, it wasn't even close to the quality that others have made, but it wasn't bad! Over cooked it perhaps a minute or so,  but still tasted good. Next time I'll make a crust from scratch (I've never done that before), put less ingredients on it, and be more carful to not get it too done

Geo, your pizza looks wonderful and the crust looks perfect to me. I just wish you had made enough to ship me a few slices. :) :smt023 :smt023

  11. Really nice mallard edges. I gotta think that if I were cooking them, the carpenters better bring their own lunch!
  12. That's one Beautiful KK... Especially on that deck. Great color choice.
  13. Welcome to the forum, Keep Up. That's a mighty fine looking KK you've got there. Looking forward to more pictures. Enjoy.
  14. Just when I thought I had "Everything"...
  15. In addition to the "Mortician's" model, he could have a pure white model for saints like me!
  16. Yeppers... That was my attempt at an off-handed compliment. Your photography skills are a perfect match for your cooking skills!
  17. Welcome to the forum, Loren. I'm thinking you'll really enjoy your KK. I have pavers on my patio, so I don't have any experience with Trex, but I can tell you that moving my 23" KK is simply a matter of getting it moving. Once it's moving, it's quite easy to move, and control. When I took delivery of my KK, I took it through the house, across a tile floor. Moving it on tile is a breeze! Looking forward to seeing pictures of your new KK.
  18. Yummy-looking Ribs, MacK. I've tried one of the rib recipes on Amazing Ribs, but not that one. Will look it up, and give it a try. The thing is though, your pictures could make shoe leather look wonderful!
  19. Haven't been able to cook it yet. See post by cschaaf in owners area. Hope to try it soon.
  20. With a loin like that, why would you WANT to fix it any the way! Looks delicious! Great pictures too. Stay out of that storm.
  21. That came out G-R-E-A-T! So very inviting and practical!
  22. Later today I hope to cook my first Rotisserie Chicken on my KK (23" Ultimate). I could sure use some suggestions... Everything from what size bird, to time/temperature would be appreciated. Thanks much.
