  1. Just a little experimenting night. I knew the roasted potatoes would fall out of the basket without a slight modification. lol Used some foil tape to seal up the ends. Real good cook! The potatoes came off first and the chicken/ pork shoulder CSR's finished about the same time so I just pulled them last. Everything was sooo good especially the roasted taters. They tumbled away in the basket and were well oiled and seasoned prior to going in. Thanks for looking! Definitely lots more room for more food. I used 2 pairs of OctoForks for this cook.
  2. Cork screws...brussels Oh heck yes!
  3. Well how about that! Might fine...mighty fine sign!! First class Bruce Now you have to be a college football fan to understand this but I want this sign made (Notre Dame Fan)
  4. Technically I guess this was mushroom and swiss/provolone because I had some provolone to use up.
  5. Yep I put a grill grate in 1" down from the top so it's excellent for grill mode.
  6. Now you go make some! I'm definitely getting better at these... My best ever to date.
  7. I can't pronounce it but if it's as good as it looks then "OH MY"!! (drool)
  8. Yep, a half pair fits the width of a basket about perfectly and the other slider bar will hold it on from falling off. Easy way to spin multiple baskets or say a basket and something else you want to rotisserie.
  9. Talking Rotisserie Baskets. I've never been a fan of the spit rod going through the middle of the basket. Sometimes it's fine but others a p.i.t.a Cooked up some chicken chow mein tonight but spun the chicken in a basket vertical using the OctoForks. Plenty of room to spin multiple baskets! Rain rain go away but comfort food is good!
  10. Will do...hopefully mid Summer. There's definitely lots of ways to use them. You can put skewers wherever you want and space them how you need. Also extend out with the Octoforks claws and put even more on.
  11. If you guys think people will like it I'll try to get them to market as soon as I can. I wanted to introduce it a little first to gauge interest.
  12. Blowing up the rotisserie tonight! This was kabob night with sirloin steak, beef sausage and also some juicy chicken quarters. The kabob veggies were grilled in grill basket. A sneak peak at some of the accessories coming with the OctoForks...these are the stainless steel skewers in action. Hopefully more accessories coming Fall of 2017 Dang good meal and fun to watch spin!
  13. Thanks! I wouldn't skimp on the heat either. This cook had the flames almost up to them ...cooked around 400* a good portion of it.
  14. This makes for the juiciest chicken breast! It's hard to beat CB on the spit over some fire! Sloppy Joes...Never let good smoke go to waste! Only used 1/2 pair of the #OctoForks for chicken.
  15. I was lucky enough to be able to snag most of the falling bacon slices. lol Couldn't let them go to waste!
  16. Ok ...Well it was the grand stuffed/wrapped jalapeno experiment that started off great and took a turn for the worst. lol I saw a video on youtube of jalapenos where you cut the stem side off, clean them out. Then put the cream cheese in, pin the stem side back on and wrap them. Ok easy enough. Next I figured out a way to spin them so I had 16 poppers spinning away beautifully. It was beautiful right up to the point all the bacon grease caused the fire to get a tad high and the toothpicks started burning. When the toothpicks burnt and fell some of the bacon came unraveled. Good thing the cook was over at that point so only about 3 peppers lost their bacon and also the ends where they were pinned on. So anyways lesson learned when cooking so much bacon at once....Use a diffuser! Bacon grease can definitely make for a tricky cook sometimes. lol
  17. Wow this is seriously impressive! I'm going to have to step out of my comfort zone and try some shawrma like this. The bread looks sooo good too! I love how you utilized the skewer between the bolts like that! Bravo bravo... I'd imagine you'll have two sets going on Memorial Day
  18. I actually spun these peppers too but that's another story! lol Ribs were juicy...It was a good cook Saturday!
  19. This is right up kamado users alley...Rotisserie and fire baked pizza!!!
  20. One I lost a few years ago to lung cancer and my other sweet boy to some other type of cancer 7 months ago. It's soooo hard. With my last sweet boy it was a Sunday and he was dying fast and knew i'd have to put him down right away Monday morning. It's hard to find eskies around here and through some kind of divine intervention just so happened to find a last of a litter on some obscure ad online. Now I have a mixed goofy girl and a 1 year old sweet white little fur ball. My boys were standards and the new eskie girl is a miniature but I wouldn't trade her for the world!
  21. I have a new Eskie an mine looks very close to your avatar! I'm on my third one
  22. Let's not forget about cajun cornbread and beans!
