  1. Sweet - just a subtle reminder to put all of this on a price list so we can order! John
  2. I just used them, super easy and secure. The KK is on the way! John
  3. Dennis, for security can you let us know if you are using the payment company 2checkout.com? I just want to make sure that this is the legit place to pay for the KK. John
  4. Hmmmm - I would try that as a smoking "chunk" but you could certainly make charcoal from it too. You come up with a price to get some to the east coast and I'll try it. John
  5. Dennis - we are in various locations so we could buy as a group and meet or (I travel) deliver to others. It becomes a family thing (meeting and delivering)if we can get some good quality KKoal. Boy if we could even get a small sampling of the Japanese stuff it would be fun to try. John
  6. Man it's lookn' good. So was it tender? By the way John Edwards sent me pictures of my new cover today. Looks like it will hold up to the snow, rain, ice, and every other thing Mother Nature can throw at me. Thanks for helping him on the measurements. John
  7. You know we still need a list of ALL of the accessories and their prices. This is like a toy store .... come on Santa! John
  8. I learned with out the Guru and still don't use it on my small one but I always (it's just plain easier to set it and forget it) use it on the big one for low and slows. The KK just puffs away and holds at 225 or what ever. JP
  9. CAUTION - these cookers lead to excessive weight gain, and an endless line of friends at your door! Welcome to the family, John
  10. So now the confusion sets in What do we order from Dennis and what size rod do we order from EZQ? If I have this right we need to order a rod adapter from Dennis. Order motor, rod (which size), and baskets from EZQ. Correct ... yes/no John
  11. Can I get one more measurement from someone? John Edwards is making the form to make the fantastic Sunbrella covers for the KK's. He needs one more measurement and since mine is not here yet I need someone who has a OTB Supreme to measure from the ground to where the curve on the dome starts. Thanks in advance, John
  12. So did you brine it? Did you brine it first or season and cook? Did you do the 350 temp or a lower one? Smoke or no smoke. Come on my son, we need details! John
  13. Looks great Another KK first. Thanks for thinking of our wood decks, and forest too! Your R&D is working overtime! John

  16. Okay now a few questions???? How did you get it off the trailer? How did you get it to the patio? How many bodies did it take? I have one coming so I need my new ideas now. Thanks, John
  17. WOW Man it must be nice to have a job where you get to have fun every day, and make people happy for a living. Keep designing, we love it! John
  18. Yep it's my new one! Well it's really the wife's but hey if "we" get a new one who cares. Dennis it looks great and Jenny agrees. Hat's off to you and your crew, you do a superb job! Thanks, John
  19. I want it on my order! Dennis great idea, let's remember to add it to my order. John
  20. Chuck Roll Stop! A chuck roll is the whole Chuck that you get chuck roast from. They cut the roll in to pieces called chuck roast. As you know they like a slow moist cook to be tender and juicy. The house way is in a roaster, slow cooker, or cook'n bag. Now let's talk K kooking! To keep it moist you can cook it from 275 to 325 for 4 to 6 hours. Stick a fork in it, when it falls apart it's ready. I cook mine in either a foil pouch or in a disposable pan coverd with foil. John
  21. And the fun begins So let's add fuel to the fire (no pun intended). If I want to cook steaks, you know ... grill something it is high heat. Fill that bad boy with lump pull the door on the bottom out 3 or 4 inches, crank the top way open and fire her up! Heck I can get to 700/800 degrees in no time. Now if you want to slow cook do the same thing in getting it fired up but what I do is close the draft door down to about a coin thickness and have measured turns on the top (I marked with finger nail polish as it comes off) to get to my desired temps. Close it up as you get near the temp so you don't overshoot it. Remember give it time to react ... slow is good! John
  22. Sliding it Somebody stated that they laid the whole crate down on (2) 2x6's and slide it up a flight of stairs. Don't know if it will work but it sounded good. John
  23. Cover it! I ive in Maryland where we get all 4 seasons. Even though you seal it I would get a cover made. I had one made by Koveroos http://www.koverroos.com but I think Sanny had one made by Steve and it is beautiful! John
  24. So how did you cook it? DavidS - how did you cook the chuck roll? Seasoning, time, temp, etc. What would you do different? Thanks, John
  25. Farmer John
