  1. Great ribs. I also like Dennis honesty of saving customers money(ref elsewhere) but I see a 32 inch Komodo Kamado with 7 rib racks, 1 turkey, a couple of butts, some chicken and................. Now that's a cook. Would that not look good with the Komodo Kamada name just jumping off the pic? I do understand the forum interest in posting pic's. (No hijack intended)
  2. You are more than welcome. I like to give real thanks to those that bust their butt and I have no time for the fair haired everyone wants to save. Thanks for being you.
  3. I have a vac sealer. Thanks for the info. On my way. Just opened a Cosco 1 hour west in Mobile.
  4. 5698k - Instruct me to do this?
  5. Thanks. Not really a process here but it sure helps me. Memory is going down hill somewhat. So I try to compensate. Thanks. I really like the way you do things. Am so looking forward to your post. Pics of the cooking units help me with placement etc. All small stuff but helpful to those going from the known to the unknown. You will love the low and slow. KK is like an old coal stove. Master the dampers and you master the temps. Its all about draft. Lower vent for heat - Top vent for smoke. Low and slow starts with small fire (baseball) fire right in middle of Komodo Kamado. I use long Weed Eater (Harbour Freight). I always start with full basket and NO ash in basket. My first 2-3 cooks I used NO product. Boy that was hard. If it helps - I would buy the unit that will handle the largest cook I would ever do. Reunions, meetings, etc. At some place in the future I would decide which one of the smaller units would best fill my tiny cooks. (vacations, camping etc) Welcome aboard glad you decided on Dennis and Komodo Kamado. The odds are you will never again meet anyone like him. If he tells you a tree is going to fall move before the damm thing hits you. Again thank you for your consideration for an old man.
  6. Help an old man. I have trouble finding the individual cooks I want to duplicate. One cook - as one topic really helps me. Not sorry for getting old. I enjoyed the trip just don't like the toll.
  7. MacKenzie – Great show and tell pinup pictures. Especially food pic's of product and Pebbles together. Dennis maybe can use your Komodo Kamado product pic's on other venues for company advertising. Beautiful way to get that Komodo Kamada name out there so all can see what Komodo Kamada is all about. As they say – “A Picture is worth a thousand words†and yours showing the actual cooking on Pebbles are way over the top. You are one talented lady.
  8. Love my KK rib rack. Maybe Dennis will post us a reminder list of extras.
  9. Great cook. I vote for the 23 with all options. Many things other than SV food can be vac'ed in your unit. Great for emergency rations to include water but product must be cool to vac. Welcome to the forum. Looking forward to your post.
  10. Cannot go wrong with light earth tones -soothing-relaxing
  11. Buy the largest you can afford. In time you may decide to do a weeks cooking per cook. The 23 can handle this with ease. What you are looking at is volume capability. It is not about the money. We crossed that bridge when we decided to buy the best ceramic cooker. This question is about what is best to have when needed. I drive around the speed limit but if needed I have the power get out of the way.
  12. Te first day of the rest of your cooking. Congrats on your new arrival
  13. Is it the bark causing the problem smoke?
  14. How did you mount the roti?
  15. Can't knock success. You nailed this one.
  16. Eat Pizza and have a beer. All good things are bad. Ain't it great? Drunk iss ass drunk duz. Drinking and driving kills people. Drink up and get out there and get'um!
  17. Ms skreef- Like the way you see. You have the eyes of the beholder.
  18. Great cook. Takes me back a few years. My rabbitry had over a hundred producing does. Ceramic is as close as it gets to after dark outdoor cooking over an oak fire pit. Thanks for the memories. By the way reports say there is no better meat for the bod. Beautiful cook.
  19. Well said. And yes they do serve outstanding meats.
  20. tony b - Do you get white or black smoke when it starts?
