Huns12 Posted November 10, 2023 Report Posted November 10, 2023 Any recommendations for removing this support from under the center of the grill before pulling down the ramp? I uncrated a 21" KK and this support was preventing the grill from rolling off easily. This grill weighs so much more so looking for an easier process.
Tyrus Posted November 10, 2023 Report Posted November 10, 2023 (edited) Yah, cut the support board underneath and let it fall through. Sometime the easiest things are the hardest. Or you could rock gently to move it off , I have the 23 and felt it was tight as I remember but moving forward with enough hands you should be ok, it's pretty stable. Another option would be to remove the top , lower center of gravity and easier to handle. Wish I was there, it's always a scary step but use the built in slide. Best Edited November 10, 2023 by Tyrus
PVPAUL Posted November 11, 2023 Report Posted November 11, 2023 I’ve uncreated 2 each 32” KK’s by gently rocking them off the support underneath toward the ramp side. I had to replace the lid on one, it did not go well for me so I wouldn’t recommend this. Cheers
tony b Posted November 11, 2023 Report Posted November 11, 2023 Another option, which I seem to recall Dennis promoting(?), is to just take a hammer to it and bash it until you can remove the pieces. Then just roll the KK off the ramp.
Huns12 Posted November 15, 2023 Author Report Posted November 15, 2023 Thanks for the replies. I used a sawzall and cut the board off. I only had one helper. It rolled off with ease after that. 9
