DennisLinkletter Posted March 5, 2008 Report Posted March 5, 2008 The problem plagued, worlds longest project pretty much finished. Yes, the project had problems that made me throw it against a wall a few times. But everything works smoothly now.. The small boxs (front and back) against the cooker will hold small teflon pads to keep the tiles from being scratched. The wood table is held in place by the swinging tabs. Yes, the rotisserie motor can be used.. of course. The version shipped will have acorn nuts with sleeves to secure the tables.
primeats Posted March 5, 2008 Report Posted March 5, 2008 Another engineering marvel! Wonder what the side clearance is? Will my Jammies fit over them? Hmm.
Sanny Posted March 5, 2008 Report Posted March 5, 2008 Another engineering marvel! Wonder what the side clearance is? Will my Jammies fit over them? Hmm. Well, it's a known fact that after several months eating delicious Q off of a Dennis cooker, you need new and larger Jammies. Dennis, that is a spectacular thing you did! No wonder it took so long. Not just slap dash side thingies that will bend down and let all the food slide off. Nope. Impervious to gravity! That's an engineering marvel of which Jayne Mansfield could be proud!
tkline01 Posted March 5, 2008 Report Posted March 5, 2008 Awesome!! That is the only thing I miss from my Mexi-K...side tables!!! When can I place my order?!?
trish Posted March 5, 2008 Report Posted March 5, 2008 Very nice touch. I love the teak wood, great complement to the tile. I know where you can get some teak on sale too!
ThreeDJ16 Posted March 6, 2008 Report Posted March 6, 2008 Freakn sweet dude! I am checking my mailbox right now to see if mine is in there!! It has been a long, less traveled road, but as long as things are right at the end...it will all be worth it! -=Jasen=-

johnnyboy Posted March 7, 2008 Report Posted March 7, 2008 Dennis, are those tables the same measurements you sent me on the CAD drawing? Are tables sold as a "set" both sides, or choice of one or the other side? Guess I need to sharpen my chalk and make another pattern, maybe three! BTW, Doubt standard cover will fit; at least I don't think so. Not according to my measurements. John
Sanny Posted March 7, 2008 Report Posted March 7, 2008 Oh sad. Even folded down, the tables add too much hip girth, Johnnyboy? Maybe you could put a slit in the back and put in a "modesty panel." lol
DennisLinkletter Posted March 7, 2008 Author Report Posted March 7, 2008 Yes, they are the same Dennis, are those tables the same measurements you sent me on the CAD drawing? Dennis: Will a 50lb roti motor fit? Looks like you have the battery operated version in the picture...the stainless steel motor is a little larger.
