MadMedik Posted July 3, 2016 Report Posted July 3, 2016 I decided to cook some pulled pork today. Making for family and friends. I have 6 butts cooking...average of 7.5 pounds each. Chris Lilly rub and injection. Cooking for 5 1/2 hours at this point. Can't wait!!!! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk 1
MacKenzie Posted July 3, 2016 Report Posted July 3, 2016 MadMedik, that is going to be some cook and there will be lots of family and friends that will get much enjoyment from it.:)
MadMedik Posted July 3, 2016 Author Report Posted July 3, 2016 Oh and I forgot....I have a large pot of pulled pork chili on stove now...using frozen pork from last pork cook a few months ago. Took a taste of pork before going in to pot...oh it is so tasty,,,even out of the freezer!
MacKenzie Posted July 3, 2016 Report Posted July 3, 2016 OK, that's enough if you are not sending out taste samples to the rest of us.
CeramicChef Posted July 3, 2016 Report Posted July 3, 2016 @MadMedik - Haven't seen you here in quite a spell. I hope all is well in your world. Looks as if you're preparing to feed the 101st Airborne Division tomorrow! I'm looking forward to seeing the money shot! I'm only doing a single butt this evening in prep for a small gathering tomorrow.
egmiii Posted July 4, 2016 Report Posted July 4, 2016 You'll have to post a pic of all that meat on the grill. I'd really like to see how it looks.
tony b Posted July 4, 2016 Report Posted July 4, 2016 Excellent. Can't wait to see the finished product, with a grill shot or two thrown in for good measure!
MadMedik Posted July 9, 2016 Author Report Posted July 9, 2016 Well as it often goes I forgot to take pictures of the pork on the grill. I did 8 or 9 butts a few years ago. Similiar setup to this cook. Here is a picture of that cook. The pork turned out great and everyone got lots of pork to eat and freeze for future meals You can cook a lot of food on this grill!! 1
CeramicChef Posted July 9, 2016 Report Posted July 9, 2016 @MadMedik - you're so right ... you can cook a LOT of meat on these KKs. I've had 10 butts on TheBeast before for a charity cook and that KK BB 32 handled it easily. Dennis' creations never cease to amaze me. That cook of yours looks like Pure D 100% 24 Karat goodness on a grill! Kudos to you!
MacKenzie Posted July 9, 2016 Report Posted July 9, 2016 Wow, that is a lot of goodness for those lucky enough to be at the table.:)
