@skreef pointed me to this: http://dragon.namegeneratorfun.com Mine came up as Haris SourWings the Destroyer. Doesn't quite roll off the tongue the way I'd hoped, though. I think my KK will be unnamed until I get a second one. Then they'll be named something clever like "Big" and "Little"3 points

I wanted to try the Tasmanian Pepper Salt. I figured thick sliced potatoes would allow me to really taste it. I coated in oil, sprinkled on the Tasmanian Pepper Salt then baked in the 16" KK. Very tasty. Looking past the salt component it has a nice mild pepper taste. Not overpowering like black pepper can be. Almost a sweet pepper taste. Everyone loved it even my son who would never put pepper on anything. And it gives your potatoes a sort of purple color to them.2 points

This is the third morning in a row that I've done the cook part of breakfast on the Little Gem. Just light the remaining coals on the way out to feed the birds and other critters. Come back put the C I frying pan on to heat. Make smoothies. Put the egg on with the bacon. Make the toast. Close the KK down and plate. Serve-1 point

Thanks, Charles. I did visit their website, but was looking for a source here first. May have to hit them up with an email inquiry as to what shipping would be on an order.1 point

No worries - name/no name; whatever floats yer boat! But I did think Coyote was a good one.1 point

Last weekend I smoked some bacon. Evidence from another thread repeated here: I was immediately reminded of the inadequacy of this pic, as there was no subsequent evidence of slicing. I promised to make amends. Here they are. Please accept this small offering in apology. Let's start with some fresh, homemade pasta: The egg and cheese mixture, with a bit of freshly ground black pepper. Proof of bacon slicing. These are the end bits: You can see where this is going. I give you spaghetti carbonara: But wait! There's more! Sauté some more sliced bacon: Toss with apples mixed with bourbon: Top with a crumble topping and onto the KK: Toss in a bit of apple wood for smoking: And 45 minutes later we have perfection: Smoked bacon bourbon apple crisp from Project Smoke.1 point

I believe you are correct. I'm posting this experiment on Guru also and letting everyone come to their own conclusions.1 point

Great looking thigh dinner. That's another good one. I knew you had talked about peach rubs before so when I saw that I scooped up a bottle for both of us. Was a pleasant surprise for me.1 point

I kinda like that "Coyote" suggestion, maybe I need to change my profile pic: or go back to my original: Or maybe just give up on it all, move to Montana or Wyoming and spend the rest of my days chasing wild critters with my Nikons(I so wish!). "Coyote" it is if it ever gets here. Thanks so much, @cschaaf!1 point

It is funny you should say that as Roadrunner delivered my KK on time to the Canadian border, it was then picked by DayRoss/Same day and they drove it all over the province covering about an extra 1000 miles before ever attempting to make a phone or even answering phones calls and emails that were made to locate this shipment. After 3 days of driving from here to here they called and delivered it 4 working days late. I suggest they change their name from Sameday to Someday Maybe. [emoji4]1 point

My local butcher also raises lambs/sheep, so I can get it at a good price. CostCo and Trader Joes are also both good sources for racks, chops and boneless legs.1 point

Thanks, Half Smoke. It was no problem at all getting it heat soaked. Every time I use this Little One I feel smarter for ordering it, why is that? [emoji4] Maybe I should special order another one.1 point
