Inspired by the current blizzard warning I thought I'd better get that grill working. The only thing I'll be working for the next few days is the snowblower. I had a piece of round steak in the fridge freezer and this morning I decided it was time to get rid of it. Next question how? Decided to grind it with an onion and make burgers. Dress it up with some Provolone cheese, onions, relish and Burger Bomb Sriracha from Williams and Sonoma. The sauce was a gift and my first experience. I loved it. Plated.3 points

Pan seared some crab cakes (Phillip's Crab House) in my homemade ghee last night. Definitely gave them a nice buttery crust. Dang they were good.3 points

This is the StatCounter screen shot from this last week. 7 day average 600 per day This is the StatCounter screen shot from this last week Last Year. 7 day average 372 per day I'd say we are killing it! Can't wait to see this spring and summer..2 points

We're staying on a working cattle and sheep ranch. The owner came by the other day dropped off some racks of lamb. I must say these are the most trimmed and cared for chops I have ever seen. They were vacuumed packaged in sets of four. This is my first experience with American lamb, I normally buy lamb from down under. I must say it was pretty darn good. So they looked like this Seasoned with S&P, onion and garlic powder. And I really like rosemary on lamb. I like to put rosemary on the grill and cook/smoke the meat over it. While the lamb rest the veggies go on. After the rest. I forgot to get a plated shot but, here's one mid-meal. That little sumpin in the background might have something to do with the missing platted shot! Thanks for looking.2 points

As usual...knocked it out of the park! Great looking burger. So the Burger Bomb Sriracha didn't turn it into a Belly Bomb?1 point

Saw this mentioned in the new issue of Milk Street Magazine. Looks like a spiffy idea, especially for those of us with large numbers of cookbooks. Going to try the free membership. https://www.eatyourbooks.com/1 point

Saw the knife first thing in the picture, weird huh? I'd be drooling all over this one, but a new Mexican restaurant opened here a little over a week ago and they are making their own masa from scratch - CRAZY! Been twice already. Food is just killer! Bar list has a full page of Mezcals and Tequilas.1 point

Mrs skreef was watching that video so I ended up wasting more of my life watching it again. He said he was going to pound the dough with his left hand. I thought he was going to break out a kitchen mallet and pound the dough. Or at the least throw it back and fourth between his hands. No pounding just stretching. A self described "foodie". As a "foodie" if that's the best you can do with pizza ..........1 point

Was just about to push the "buy" button when I realized I'll be arriving home late the night before after a grueling week of work on the road. I'll likely be begging the fam to spoon feed me something with Vegemite that day. Will have to keep an eye on their class schedule for another opportunity.1 point

I'm not even going to read it. I have a smoke pot and use it on occasion. When it gets heated up properly it works good. I still want to get a cold smoker and try that.1 point

Yup! Like @tony b said^^^^. If this was a young engineer on one of my project teams doing such shoddy work, they'd at least be "counseled" (in White House speak), if not drummed out of the corp. That it's John propagating this nonsense on his own site...it just validates my earlier post about forums and terrorist cells being related.1 point

Broke down and got the full sized sampler pack of the Lane's rubs. They added their latest one - QNami, to the mix. Highly recommend it!1 point
