  1. First homemade pizza dough from ckreef's tutorial. We used 100% KA pizza blend for this dough. The pizza turned out awesome. We had been using store bought dough from Trader Joes and this was much better. It was also extremely easy to do. I may start to mess around with different flour combinations but this one is a keeper for sure!

  3. Oh yes! What fun. Everything happened so fast. The first KK was already being wheeled down our alleyway by the time I got out and they were both deposited, in quick succession, in our garden. Now I know why the delivery company were so reluctant to deliver to our narrow back road: Then I had a bit of a panic when I realised I hadn't got them to orient the boxes the right way for the ramp to work. That is, until we realised the ramp wouldn't work because the delivery company had put an additional pallet under the KK pallet and so the ramp wasn't up to the job. Disembarkation option 1: the boys tried lifting and realised they needed to respect these KKs. Disembarkation option 2: not the right level Disembarkation option 3: bingo! That's why you buy two KKs. So you can screw your two ramps together. A bit of fun bashing out the box under the KK and then a quick run down the ramp, supported by a winch. Much easier with the 21" And here they are in situ. Better shots when it is light tomorrow. Off to light a fire. Yippee! I think the first cook is going to be some no fuss chicken wings.

  7. Beauties for sure! Same thing happened with my 23” where they inserted a palette under the KK palette and I noticed after they’d left. Now show us some cooking!

  9. Don't forget the pixs of the first cook. Notice how white the interior is, better get that in your pix too because that won't be there for long.

  12. Nicely done! Homemade dough is sooooo worth the little bit of extra effort, and ckreef's tutorial is a great place to start. I've tried the KA Pizza Blend flour and like it a lot, although it is a bit fragile -- can tear easily if not careful. My favorite flour for thin crust pizza is All Trump's unbromated. Hard to find, but worth it if you can get it -- I get mine at Pennsylvania Macaroni online.

  14. Thank you for the site recommendation - Pequod, i guess I missed your reference to it. We have a Cuisine at Home subscription, they deliver DVD volumes w/ PDF searchable, we also use Big Bob Gibson's BBQ book. other than that, it is food network web pages and a set of four (and growing) volumes of handed down and downloaded recipes. cheers, and hope your new adventure w/ KK cookin goes famously.

  15. No, they're in boxes in the basement, too! I have 3 shelves of cookbooks in my kitchen for the ones that I refer to most. The 3 ft stack on the floor in the guest room are the most recent acquisitions. The boxes in the basement are for the ones that I bought, read and pushed aside, as I knew that I most likely would never cook out of them.
