  1. A special breakfast this morning, a double yolk egg, one with Black Urfa Chili, one with Silk Chili and both with Zanibar Black Pepper. Also KK breakfast, homemade sourdough bread, fresh greens and ripe cherry tomatoes from the garden.

  3. Actually I have tried playing the radio all night in my corn patch. When I got up the corn was gone and it seems they made a patch to dance in while eating my corn.

  4. Yes, the more sensible choice would be the 32. However, my heart is with the 42. So, it's not you 32, it's me.... I contacted Dennis and changed my order to a 42 SBB in Terra blue!!!! . My countdown now begins. I feel like a kid counting down to Christmas. Thanks a lot everyone! So many helpful comments and ideas. Couple things that swayed me to change my 32 order to the 42: 1. YOLO 2. The fact that as awesome as the 32 is/would be, I would always have the 42 in the back of my mind. "if I had just...." 3. If I ever decide to get another KK, I can always pair with a 21 or 23. 4. Like someone said above, this is not a sensible purchase. After all, We're talking about the most overbuilt grill in the world. So I followed my heart for this one. I will post some pictures when I get it.

  5. As I noted in my "oops" moment, you've over-ranged your thermometer and it will need to be recalibrated. Mine was off almost 50F. I'm guessing that yours is similarly affected. Glad that singed hair was the only "injury." These flashovers can be very bad.

  6. Sorry.. I used some verbal shorthand by saying rolling, I hand stretched the dough last time. I used a “quick” dough recipe that produced mediocre results though. Looking for dough suggestions for thin, crispy crust that isn’t impossible to work with, and I think the parchment paper trick will fix my issues with transferring the uncooked pizzas..

  8. Yes, I gave up rolling dough a long time ago. I use a stretch and finger press method.

  9. Tyrus, I am very familiar with crucibles;) In my youth I worked at Inductotherm Corp (https://inductotherm.com/) making heat induction coils for various applications, some ranging as large as 25' high, 10' diameter to go around large crucibles. I was just reacting to the pictures w/o a forethought to purpose; just initial gut reaction. Anything you make out of it will be a great conversation piece for sure; looking forward to seeing what you arrive at!

  11. Interesting, So you either build fire into it, or around it. It's a cauldron for your wizards brew Tyrus. Just not sure what you would end up brewing in it. It would be a shame to start cutting holes into it I would think the first thing is to see if you can find the centre of gravity. And consider a band around that centre to create an easy pivot point if it was suspended between two rods within or just above a fire pit. It'll be interesting to see what ideas come forward.

  12. O K Tucker you did an end around on me, no spaceships or tea pots.........didn't imagine lawn ornament. Actually I was thinking fire and BBQ for help. Well, excuse me if I didn't explain the purpose of a crucible..........it holds molten metals and can withstand an immense amount heat. OK we go forward from here, think BBQ, meat and if you have to, throw on some sauce, and that should keep everyone on track. Lawn ornament???,,,your killing me............gotta check if I'm on the right site YOU, we'll attend to later. You musta been a wrestler cause your always tag teaming up.

  13. See you played that dance music, should have put on a little Barry White and the corn would have been left alone. Granted the population explosion would be a "next year" problem, but by then you would have figured out how to move them along!
