  1. Re: unscrew themselves? So the motor should rotate clockwise when viewed from the shaft side (cooker side)
  2. The bracket goes on the right side (outside) of the cooker (remove the nuts and mount). The square shaft with the spring goes into the roti motor (spring first) into the motor, then shaft into the socket on the outside of the cooker. The square shaft with threads goes into the right side of roti basket and the round shaft goes into the other end of the basket (tighten them both). I don't have that other spring, perhaps it goes over the left end shaft of the basket? Place the left end of the basket into the cooker placing the shaft into the socket, then lower the right end and engage the square shaft into the right side socket. That should do it!
  3. Re: Aluminum or wood I have an aluminum square (straight) front, with a wooden handle, it works fine, I have never used wooden. I have used a rimless cookie sheet and that works just as well, however it doesn't look as cool!
  4. Looks perfect - no need to let it sit out prior to placing it in the KK, in fact, some say that the colder it is, the longer it absorbs the smoke. I can't confirm or deny that, but no need to let is sit out.
  5. Re: I want a VersaGrill.. Thanks Tony, I sent you an email.
  6. Sweet! Now you need to offer the option to have the family crest placed on your KK!
  7. A cookie sheet without a edge/lip can work well also, or if you use parchment/foil most any cookie sheet would work (until your peel comes in)
  8. Congratulations! It helps the time pass to tell us what you are getting, and to brush up on your photo posting skills!
  9. Syzy, I read that, say, six times, and I'm still confused. I glad you have it figured out!
  10. Yay a 3 sock set, well done!
  11. Daisy wheel FTW! I usually open the wheel fully and adjust temp with the dome (for grilling 350 - 450) L&S is generally Guru controlled. I only pull the door out for pizza and searing (or to get the temp up faster when starting)

    Creosote ?

I don't think condensation dripping back inside would be good, however I suspect it will still condense on the edge of the damper, not on the v, since the v will likely still be too hot for condensation.
  13. That's quite a guest list! I'd wanna be paired with Burt Rutan he is a visionary and genius, hell, I'd even carry his clubs!
  14. Re: I love it.. I pushed it off about a half hour after I took the photos, it wasn't melting very quickly but I wanted to get it out of my way.
  15. Any chance the poster of the video would put your link in the sidebar?
  16. I saw my first episode last night. Did anyone see the quick peek of the KK @ Big Bob Gibson's?
  17. Hey Doc, I'm glad you like it! 2 things, the Zone Bridge is only required if you don't have any Zone Players located near a network connection, (only one ZP or the Bridge needs to connect to the internet) and if you want to use the iPod/iPhone controller, you will also need a WiFi router. The new Sonos touch screen controller uses the SonosNet, not WiFi. I'm aware of 2 advantages that the Sonos controller (CR200) has over the iPod app. (if you already own an iPod/Phone it's a no-brainer) 1. The Sonos controller is nearly instantly ready to control the system (if your iPod has gone to sleep, it needs to wake up and connect to the WiFi network before you can even adjust the volume) 2. The Sonos controller has hard buttons for the Volume and Mute Doc, did you get an S5? Mine just arrived but haven't connected it yet.
  18. I will doing a beef tenderloin for a party in a week or so, and I got to thinking that the reverse sear would be a great way to go. Any thoughts, has anyone done it?
  19. I have never had any drop-outs. Each Zone Player is a repeater for the Sonos mesh network, so every time you add a zone you make a stronger network. I'm not very familiar with the Apple system, but I pretty sure you can only play one source at a time, is that right? The iPhone/iPod Touch controller app (free) really reduces the cost of entry (if you happen to already own one!) It has also been one of a very few tech products that was really plug-n-play, it just works. They also just released a Zone Player with built in speakers that is slightly less expensive and very versatile. Check your local Best Buy, they were taking Sonos out of the BB stores and just having it in the Magnolia stores a while back, you may find a few pieces at a good discount, that's how I got started. Someone did a comparison here; http://l00pback.wordpress.com/2009/07/1 ... mote-apps/
  20. Re: Sick Well played sir, I'll have to keep that one in my back pocket for another year. Sly dog!
  21. Re: rant Sorry' date=' I can't get past the banner on the front page of this site = "Top 10 myths about creation" So now we have to read about the myths of myths? [flame shields up']
  22. Any Sonos fans around? I've had mine for a few months and it is awesome, perhaps my best tech purchase since TiVo!
