If you had purchased $1,000 of shares in Delta Airlines one year ago, you will have $49.00 today. If you had purchased $1,000 of shares in AIG one year ago, you will have $33.00 today. If you had purchased $1,000 of shares in Lehman Brothers one year ago, you will have $0.00 today. But, if you had purchased $1,000 worth of beer one year ago, drank all the beer, then turned in the aluminum cans for recycling refund, you will have received a $214.00. Based on the above, the best current investment plan is to drink heavily & recycle. It is called the 401-Keg. Also, recent study found that the average American walks about 900 miles a year. Another study found that Americans drink, on average, 22 gallons of alcohol a year. That means that, on average, Americans get about 41 miles to the gallon. Makes you proud to be an American.

I have both, and like them both. I only use the floss now that I have been educated about using steel on stainless. The GF is certainly not as robust as the BBar, but it has stood up to use so far.

I guess I could have refused delivery of the KK, however the daughter, when she decide it was time to show up, (even a few weeks early) there was no stop'n that!

Today is my second anniversary of a happy KK relationship. Thanks Dennis! [it's also my oldest daughter's 14th birthday. (that helps me remember)]

Larry, Can you clarify, it says steak seasoning as an ingredient, but doesn't mention it again. It does say season with steak sauce when putting on the grill.... I guess that means the steak sauce is the seasoning?

Great, do you want put a number on it? We have enough to get over 1000#, so we should be getting the best shipping rate. I have been waiting a few days for a response from sales. I was hoping to have this wrapped up this week, but it's not looking good right now......

Bravo, as a bit of a wood-butcher myself, I know how you must feel to have that beauty in the back yard.

I understand this is hypothetical, (no pictures) however if I had actually made these, we loved 'em. When SWMBO says she has pork chops to grill, I loose my enthusiasm, now I want them again, 5 stars! INGREDIENTS: 1 tablespoon butter 1 onion, sliced 1 pinch red pepper flakes 1 apple, cored and sliced 2 teaspoons white sugar 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar 4 pork chops salt and pepper to taste 4 slices extra sharp Cheddar cheese DIRECTIONS: 1. Prepare grill for high heat. 2. While the grill heats, melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the onion, and cook until soft. Season with red pepper flakes then add the sliced apple. Stir in the sugar and balsamic vinegar, and simmer for 5 minutes, or until apples are soft and golden. 3. Season the pork chops with salt and pepper. Grill for 3 to 5 minutes per side, depending on thickness. Spoon the onions and apples on top of the chops, and top with a slice of Cheddar cheese. Close grill, and cook for about 3 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbling.

That is a matter of preference, I go high, and have always had good results. I use the stock deflector on the lump basket. It gets me the best control of flame, as I don't have the flame protected Fibrament. At 650+ I can reload the stone in about 3 - 5 mins, about the time it takes to take the last one and reload the peel.
-
Larry, What kind of stone do you use? I use a fibrament and higher temps, typical bake times 8 - 15 mins. I put them as high in the dome as possible. The crust is always even, sometimes the top is not, I have found if the deflector is not level you can get one side that is hotter, however a spin half way done takes care of it!
-
I have done 1 Papa M on my KK, I used the paper tray and it turned out fine. (because the pizza was a little larger than my stone...) I did use a higher temp 650+. I wonder if the Funky Munky isn't on to something with the dome. BTW, welcome to the forum!

Very nice, now sell that thing to the breast cancer people.

Dennis, Can you quote shipping for 600 and 1000 lbs, (aren't those the best shipping breaks?) If my assumption is incorrect, a couple quotes in that area that take advantage of any quantity break. (to Cedar Rapids) Thanks! Edit to add the city D'oh!
-
I have some interest in the Cedar Rapids area that I am working off-line, if you have any interest speak up. JohnnyBoy? Dennis - I will requesting a shipping quote in the next day or so, as soon as we settle on a drop city.

Anyone interested in an eastern Iowa share?

Photosynth fun with my Komodo. I need to work on my technique. Dennis, this would be awesome if you took about 500 shots all the way around and close-ups of all the great metalwork etc. I may try again, after I see some of everyone else's....

First Peek @ the new KK 19.5" OTB

Re: New Side Cabinets Cozy, you mean like the dividers in kitchen cabinets for cookie sheets and stuff? Up and down places to slide in the tall stuff? What a good idear. Keep them easily accessible, without having to empty the cabinet (and all the stuff stacked on top of them) to get them in and out. Indeed, grill storage and shuffling/handling is the one thing I would like to get a better solution for, this is likely it! -
Re: greetings from mississippi D'OH, and you could have had a v8. Welcome, while you wait, brush up on your digital photography and posting to forums, otherwise Sanny will be relentless....
