My KK with side tables Here's what it looks like with both sides.

    Side tables

Dennis, Using the dimensions available on your CAD drawing, I've added side tables to my KK manikin so I can fit a cover. Concern is my manikin was built to size using guess work to much degree. Looks to me, viewing from above, the hinge adds ~2.5" width to each side, plus 1" for the table thickness, then length of table. MY problem is the drawing doesn't show a width measurement of the KK itself. After I mounted both side tables folded down to my manikin, aligned square with the front; the overall width I come up with from table outside edge to table outside edge is ~33". Is that close to what you measure? Thanks, John
  3. Nice work Sanny! Sorry about your friend, I wish her the best. I remember my Grandmother used to knit us stuff all the time when we were kids. Slippers were her speciality. We all had to have them; nice to see you doing it too.
  4. Very nice. The second look like a stone to me; can't remember the name, but I'd give it a stone name.
  5. I have never used Dales seasoning either. BUT, Majestic wrote: Don't think so Dude! I've been smoochin' both Sanny and Trish!! They're MY internet girlfriends!!!

According to the dimensions I have; even with the tables folded down they add quite a bit of footprint. Dennis, if you could do me a favor; wrap a tape measure around the KK with tables folded down and send me the measurement. I'd appreciate it. Better yet Dennis; send me a KK with side tables. If it matched black would be perfect.

    Side tables

Tom, I know you're interested in side tables so I've been thinking how we could accomodate them with your existing cover. I was thinking possibly we could cut a hole in the side of cover where the table is, then sew in a box type extension to fit the table. Problem is I don't know if the circumference around the bottom of the cover (~102") is enough distance to work the cover down over the tables. The idea may work for one table, doubtful for two. Are you looking at one table or two?
  8. Sanny, not sure where to pop this in; guess this is as good a place as any; but your new hairdo looks great!!! Is that really you; you look like a model now! When did this all happen?
  9. Pirate, you'll soon forget about the money. After all that other work go with Thatch roof. JMO Don't forget to install some wireing so you can light up those KK's. Can't wait to see it finished, and during production shots periodically.
  10. Sweet Pirate. Can't wait to see it finished.
  11. Looks Great! Tom. I like your chicken sitter, with the tubes. Do you fill em' with beer or anything? Nice.
  12. Tkline, wish I could say the same about the cover; but doubtful. Sorry. John
  13. Thanks Dennis. Sanny, I'll have to think about your idea! Modesty Panel, hmmmmm you crack me up!
  14. Dennis, are those tables the same measurements you sent me on the CAD drawing? Are tables sold as a "set" both sides, or choice of one or the other side? Guess I need to sharpen my chalk and make another pattern, maybe three! BTW, Doubt standard cover will fit; at least I don't think so. Not according to my measurements. John
  15. I like your idea, Trish. I actually thought about installing the same wood (3-1/2" wide strip) from the kitchen as a thin inlaid frame around the living room where teak prevails. Or maybe use a marble transition strip between the rooms; install a row of the same tumbled marble I used on the kitchen walls/behind the counters. Difficult to see, but here's a photo.
  16. Thanks Dennis. I like the stressed look in the production photos. What's that called? Thanks Sanny and Pirate; that's what the Wife said too! Damit!!! I agree with Dennis.
  17. Dennis, In the production photos, the final finish looks different (to me) than what's installed in the house (I don't mean color). Viewing the photos of the installed product (home shots) I can definitely see the hand hewn finish; however, the production shots look more of a stressed/aged finish. Are they different finishes? Are different finishes available? I'm sending the forum links to my wife to see. Beautiful floors to me. Only thing is, we already have hardwood floors in the kitchen; now we want hard wood in the adjacent living room and trying to figure out if they need to match or not. Rooms are joined by a 7-8' wide opening/sq arch way so to speak. Does it look silly to have one type wood floor in one room and another type in the adjoining room???? Thanks, John
  18. I thought SYZYGY was a license plate meaning/pronounciation for a Sizey Guy! Duh.....
  19. Very cool Primeats! I got your number now... I seen the humor side too; but thought what the heck, might be serious so would rather error on the side of appology than continuing to hit a sensitive note. So then do I need to measure for a cover? I didn't just say that, no, not me, nada, na, na, na....
  20. Primeats wrote: Darn, sorry; now I know what you meant by saying the wife and I are both proud of our chests. You switched subjects on me. No need to ask anymore if both your and your wifes chests are teak. I got it. Please accept my appology.
  21. Mike, maybe we should have used non-breathable material like Shelter-Rite for your cover. But non-breathable has it's issues too; especially covering something already wet, it never dries. Sorry it hasn't worked out. I had the pleasure of visiting Redmond 7-15 Feb. I know what a wet climate means now. Everything was wet; I think my hotel room was wet. Rained everyday my first 5 days, then a two day break from rain, but the streets never dried! I couldn't believe it. Never seen anything like it. Is it like a sauna there in summer with all the moisture?
  22. Nope Sanny, you didn't write it! I didn't see a thing. Never, never, never....... nope, na, nada... You're too funny Sanny. LMAO
  23. Primeats wrote: You're just too damn funny, Primeats!!! I love it; ROFLMAO! I just have to ask; does she cover hers?
  24. Embarrassing! I blew it okay! Messed up the color darn it. Kinda funny story; the customer received his cover, reported back saying nice cover, but unless I'm color blind this looks black. Needless to say the blue he wanted is in the mail. Anyway I'm left with a black cover for OTB Supreme/GenII. It's a new cover, but been back and forth in the mail, so if anyone is interested in black Sunbrella Marine Exterior grade cover for OTB, I'm selling it at a discount . email me at [email protected] Thanks, John
  25. What's this hand hewn teak stuff all about? Sorry, I'm playing catch-up; but it looks great! Wife wants to put our tax return toward hard wood floors. Notice I said, "toward" hard wood floors. Is Dennis selling this stuff? How much for ~320 sq. ft delivered (not installed)? Room approx size 16 X 20. Thanks, John
