  6. Re: Happy Find Huh? Why drag me into this? I've been behaving myself recently. Nicely structured sentence, BTW. You back on the pain killers, or has the announcement of the worldwide hops shortage got you down? The hop shortage is killing me!!! Messed up my plans to make some Christmas beer!
  7. Glad you made it to the KK forum!!! How's the weather in AZ?
  8. Stuffed with sage, thyme, rosemary, apples, onion, & garlic. White wine and apple in roasting pan for the gravy!
  9. Hope everyone has a Happy Turkey Dayl!!!
  10. Already tried that....get too hot! I was using a carboy (big glass jug used for making beer) bung...but it started to melt....just not made for high temp applications.
  11. Re: Have no fear.. Will there be any chance Guru Fred will make some plugs that will fit the native guru port on the KK? The standard Guru plug is too small. The guru plug doesn't fit the guru inducer tube, or do you mean it doesnt fit the stock hole in the body - where the inducer tube would go? Doesn't fit the stock hole. I'm using a Stoker so I don't need the Guru inducer tube.

  13. FM - That is an accessory sold by E-Z Que...the HOBO E-Z Que Cradle. You can use it on a camp fire, a foil pan full of charcoal, etc. Link--->HOBO
  14. We cooked a chicken at the Cowboy game on Sunday using an EZ-Que Rotisserie and a Lodge cast iron grill. It was fantastic!!! Sorry the pictures aren't better...used my cell phone camera.
  15. The software running on the Stoker is still from Rock's Bar-B-Que...just using StokerLog software to control and monitor it rather than the web browser. It is completely "geek" But I love it My wife thinks I'm nuts...watching the Dallas Cowboy game with my laptop in my lap controlling the KK.
  16. Well I have been using the Stoker for several cooks now and I really like it! I started using a software product that was written by a programmer to control and log the Stoker. Here is a screen shot: You can get his software here: http://la.gg/upl/Stokerlog_V4.1.msi You can read about the software on this forum link: http://tvwbb.infopop.cc/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/9270072103/m/4330046694
  17. Anyone know how to make garlic flavored oil?? I have a recipe that calls for "Garlic Flavored Oil"...I can't find it in any stores!! I have garlic juice, garlic powder, garlic salt, garlic cloves...but no oil. You think I can put garlic juice in oil and that will work?
  18. Actually I have been experimenting with some different rubs/pastes and injections....trying to decide how I will do the Turkey this year. I have found that the easiest way to experiment different Turkey cooks is to buy just the breast (with rib bones) instead of a complete bird. Just the right size for a meal and some sammies later! I might even do a video of the Turkey Day Turkey I prepare...not sure yet. If not a video I will have pics to share.
  19. My father (U2PLT) and I did this little document for a contest that Mexi-K was having......needless to say they never awarded any prizes! This might give you some ideas.... Texoma Turkey
