    Information please!

I can't wait to make the transition!! I'm really curious how my cooking will have to change to adapt to a KK and to taste the difference between my current Kamados and the food that comes off the KK. Let the adventure begin...

LOL Thanks everyone! Yes, its coming from LA and should be here in a by the end of January. I asked Dennis to delay shipment until January 9th as I will be on vacation next week. So it should take about 7-9 days from departure date

    Information please!

Thank you all so much for the information. I do cook at high temps sometimes, usually pizza or for searing. The information about venting is great, I really thought it was a bigger deal than it sounds like it is. I was interested to see if the tiles move around or pop, in a way, disfiguring the look! But I guess not!

Thanks Rob! Just gathering information at the moment, but will hopefully join the KK family one day soon

    Information please!

I'm a bit of an information junkie and was hoping you wonderful folks might help me! I have heard that when you buy a KK you have to perform a burn in to cure the tiles. Where can I find information about that? Is there anything else that needs to be done with a new KK? Thanks! Rak
  13. That looks great and really healthy! The pictures are fantastic!

    NYE Prime Rib

That is a perfect Prime Rib!! What are Drago Style Oysters?
  16. LMAO!!! This made me laugh!! Great looking 'pie'
  17. Yes she did! I love gyros and Mac got me thinking about it with her Donair cook. Until recently, I would never even have attempted such an audacious cook, and I now have an even better idea for when I get my rotisserie!
  18. LOL yes this gyro was definitely inspired by Mac's Donair cook (which I need to still try, mostly for the sauce!). Great cook Charles!
  19. ok great. Thank you! I'll pick up some bread flour from the store. For my pizza I use "00" and I know that makes a huge difference from AP.
  20. MacKenzie or any other baker.... I don't have bread flour, would AP be ok to use? And whats the difference?
  21. It won't be cooked on a KK, but I'll still post a picture of the finished bread if thats ok
  22. I do! I'm a real newbie when it comes to baking, but the one thing I learned (especially with my pizza dough) is how much better I can control ratios when using weight rather than volume.
