  1. That looks amazing !!!! I might have to start trying some different types of flour.
  2. @tekobo i cooked the same thing Sunday lol And cooked some of my arm with the looftlighter, i got careless putting it away lol
  3. Who says i don't already have one, or even two of them !!! You should get three just to stay ahead of me LOL Just kidding I really like to keep things simple. I don't have time for complicated. I actually have two loafs in the oven proofing right now. Our baseball team has a long road trip today and i am staying behind to shoot the softball game. They are convinced they will win if they have a loaf of my bread in the dugout, hey it worked for them last year so i have to make them one. Last years semi final went 16 innings and they were starving by the 14th inning, I had given a loaf to the trainer before the game and when they started complaining they were starving she gave the loaf to them. They like it lol
  4. I tried steam and it is just so much easier to use a dutch oven.
  5. They look great !!!!
  6. Absolutely get the cover, the half grate is included with a 32. So no need to add it. At least it always has been so you might want to ask. The half grate is one thing i couldn't live without

You will love retirement, i have hobbies that keep me so busy i don't have time to do something stupid like getting a job lol
  8. Pork butts and briskets, i like to sleep well. And with the battery pack I think the fireboard makes it really easy. But i like playing with technology so for me its fun, except the first few times using the fireboard, i hated their interface. I was seriously overthinking the app. Now we get along fine lol

  21. @tekobo How did the skin render ? They look good.
  22. Yesterday loafs for friends. Iโ€™ve been eating a little less bread as Iโ€™m trying to keep my weight down due to BP issue ๐Ÿ˜ตโ€๐Ÿ’ซ But I typically feed my starter once a week and keep it in the fridge. These are just my standard loafs, nothing fancy.
  23. Great looking muffins you have there !!!!
  24. No olive wood here but I have used grape vine too. I lay some in the middle of the lump and it catches gradually throughout a long cook. I typically add it for long cooks like pork butts along with peach wood. If you add a lot it smells really nice in the yard , I think it smells like a really really light version of apple๐Ÿ˜
