I saw your post but for some reason I thought the painter's tape was due to it being slightly off in size. Probably threw off my perception of where it the stop is on the pin too. C6Bill
No, the painters tape is just due to me being a little "off" lol I think now that I really know how to setup the thing the painters tape isn't needed. And starting the measurement at the 7 inch mark probably doesn't make it easier to read lol

I had to go back and watch to the vid to see what I said. Thank you @Syzygies for watching to the end and providing the timing range so I could find it quickly. Shame. I didn't do my bit for gender equality. I normally say "Bob's your uncle and Matilda's your Tante. Next time.🤗 1
GT4426
Hello, Just to add a different approach to this dilemma, I ordered from Amazon 1 1/2" long x 3/8" diameter thread (regular not fine thread) stainless steel socket head cap screws (Allen screws) plus a box of 100 stainless steel 3/8" washers and used the washers to space the rotisserie mount 1/2" further out from the smoker. The socket head cap screws that come with the Komodo Kamado are 1" long. The 1 1/2 length bolts allow you to adjust the motor mount further out from the smoker. I found 2" long bolts too long. If you can't find stainless steel socket head cap screws then you can get galvanized or stainless steel hex head bolts and washers at any Lowe's/Home Depot. Again, 3/8" thread x 1 1/2" length. This way you don't have to grind down and thereby ruin the shaft for future motor adaptions. You use washers to obtain different spacing to fit any rotisserie motor regardless of the depth of the motor's shaft opening. Hope that helps.
tekobo
That sounds like an interesting and potentially very simple solution @GT4426. Can you post photos to show how it goes together?
Wobster
I know this was posted 5 years ago but I am just using my rotisserie for the first time. I’ve had the parts for 2-3 years and looking at the jumble of parts I came here for help! Really pretty straight forward (once you call Armold Schwarzenegger to separate one of the reducers from the cradle!). Just got chicken in and spinning. Thanks @tekobo for posting this, it is still really useful! Edited March 21 by Wobster
tekobo
Good looking chook @Wobster. I am really glad the video is still here and still helpful. 2020? Wow, doesn't time fly?!
