Winter burn in!

Recommended Posts

First post.

Received my KK a few weeks ago and had to wait out some inclement weather to get it placed after uncrating. Doing burn in today and am quite impressed with the responsiveness of small tweaks to lower and upper dampers. Ambient temp outside is -12C, no troubles getting the surface temp up on the KK in 2 hours. Thanks Dennis for your exceptional customer service. More posts to come as the grilling season starts in earnest here in Calgary.

Atta boy, don't let cool weather stop you from setting up your grill (unlike someone who shall remain nameless!)

And yes, we want pictures!!

Clags - congratulations on your new KK! I'm in the same boat as you. I've got a new 19.5" Hi-Cap that I just finished uncrating yesterday. Beauty!, as we call her, needs her burn in and then we're off and cooking!

Tell us about your new KK. How big, name, first cook, etc. We'd love to see pics!

Welcome to the KK family! Jump on in and join the conversation! We look forward to your posts and getting to know you.

Speaking of pictures - Hey CC, still haven't seen what Beauty looks like in all her glory!

Trying to figure out why CC is holding back. Maybe some sort of grand reveal coming.

Clags, it is great to see another Canadian on the site. Lucky you to have your KK all set up, in Nova Scotia we still under several feet of snow. It has been one of those record winters. We will be watching for your KK pixs :)

Did I miss something....or are we still waiting to see some pictures of that KK.

I can't blame him. Clags must be so happy with his new KK that he forgot about us.
