Cookie Posted December 23, 2015 Report Posted December 23, 2015 Bosco inspired, I said I'd do ribs and wings today and here I sit on the terrace smellin' some apple wood. Wife let me break into a Christmas package from the in-laws early to try out a couple of Dizzy Pig Rubs for the ribs. Pics suck, but an iPhone at night is all I'm willing to do right now. bosco Posted December 23, 2015 Report Posted December 23, 2015 Everything is looking good!!!!!! What dizzy pig did you try?? I have a bunch and like their lineup Quote
Cookie Posted December 23, 2015 Author Report Posted December 23, 2015 The basic bbq on two slabs and the pineapple the other one. Spritzing the first two with 50/50 Apple juice and cider vinegar, the other with 50/50 pineapple juice and cider vinegar. They gave me two samples of the entire lineup, so looking forward to experimenting. Quote
ckreef Posted December 23, 2015 Report Posted December 23, 2015 Looks and sounds good. Any picture is better than no pictures. Sent from my QTAQZ3 using Tapatalk Quote

Jon B. Posted December 23, 2015 Report Posted December 23, 2015 Not quite a KK but the thought is there.......................... http:// Quote
MacKenzie Posted December 23, 2015 Report Posted December 23, 2015 Ahhhh, Cookie, those wings and ribs are going to be so tasty. Quote
tony b Posted December 23, 2015 Report Posted December 23, 2015 Love me some Dizzy Dust! My favorite rub for ribs. My pantry shelf is loaded with Dizzy Pig rubs! Have fun playing with them, Cookie! Quote
Cookie Posted December 24, 2015 Author Report Posted December 24, 2015 So the pineapple head rub was really good, had just a little heat that made it fun. The Dizzy Dust, their basic BBQ rub, for me, is exactly the same as Big Bob Gibsons rub that I've been making batches of for years as my go-to for pork. So it is really good, just wasn't anything new. Looking forward to moving through the collection. Quote
bosco Posted December 24, 2015 Report Posted December 24, 2015 I use dizzy dust exclusively on burgers. Quote
GoFrogs91 Posted December 24, 2015 Report Posted December 24, 2015 Tsunami Spin is awesome on pork and salmon Benton Quote
tony b Posted December 24, 2015 Report Posted December 24, 2015 I like all of their steak rubs. Of the new series, I like Bayou-ish. The Jamaican is my least favorite; there are better rubs out there for Jerk, plus I prefer the wet pastes (Walkerswood, The Shizzle, Boston Bay), Have fun exploring them, Cookie! Quote
