tinyfish
Testing a recipe for the Guru challenge. A mushroom thyme and lentil pie. I sautéed onions, carrots, mushrooms and garlic. To that I added some thyme, tomato paste and sherry and cooked till soft. To thicken the mixture I added some corn starch. I added the mixture to ramekins and topped with puff pastry. I cooked these at 400f for about 15 minutes. On to the zucchini fudge cake. I Mixed butter, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, instant coffee, coco powder and flour then I added the shredded zucchini. I placed in a baking dish and topped with chocolate chips, chopped pecans and vanilla sugar. Cake is done The two plated together

tinyfish
These challenges are getting harder. On the positive side Charles won the December challenge with those delicious ribs wrapped in pig candy. For the last four months a KK member has won the challenges. ckreef
These challenges are getting harder. On the positive side Charles won the December challenge with those delicious ribs wrapped in pig candy. For the last four months a KK member has won the challenges. These challenges are getting harder for sure. The main contestants who enter every month are definitely getting better with their cooks and their photography skills. I was a little worried as Smoke and Awe is definitely getting better every month. I almost thought she was going to steal my win - it was close. So the best cooks are on the KK forum We are sort of sweeping the challenges month after month. After this month is over we will be halfway through the challenge series and I'll post a recap of the total points to date. It's looking like between tinyfish, bosco, myself and Mrs skreef we will be holding 4 of the top 5 or 6 positions. ckreef
Almost forgot - very creative cooks you have. If I would have known about the awesome prize this month I might have gotten even more creative with my entry. tinyfish
I'd go for that. Looks delicious! Thats the one I entered. It was tough to decide between the pizza and the baked beans.
ckreef
Thats the one I entered. It was tough to decide between the pizza and the baked beans.I think you picked the right one. Definitely a unique cook. Now on to figuring out a killer sandwich, that's different enough to get the votes. I think that's going to be harder than vegetables.
