MacKenzie Posted March 11, 2017 Report Posted March 11, 2017 (edited) I have been wanting to this cook since ordering the OctoForks and today was the day.:) On the KK at 350F. Just about done, 1 hour 10 mins. Plated. That is Malden salt on the potatoes. Chicken interior, sooo tasty and moist. Edited March 11, 2017 by MacKenzie 6

Paul Posted March 11, 2017 Report Posted March 11, 2017 Another great looking meal. Nice color on that chicken.
Keith OctoForks Posted March 11, 2017 Report Posted March 11, 2017 You make the most beautiful plates! Very beautiful bird. The last time I did a half I used the second half pair to hold it on but I like your way. There's a half in the freezer I should pull out to try it that way using the silicone cooking bands. The next time I pick up a roaster it might get split for half lemon pepper and half baked on bbq ....ugh now I'm hungry. lol
MacKenzie Posted March 11, 2017 Author Report Posted March 11, 2017 I have had terrible intermittent Internet service since posting the chicken cook. I am sure there was no relationship. It might just be back. Thanks, everyone for your comments, much appreciated. Just lost Internet again. I hope this post is not lost.
MacKenzie Posted March 11, 2017 Author Report Posted March 11, 2017 Keith, I did think about using the second half but that would have interfered with my pix. You notice I did tie the leg onto one of the prongs and used a stainless steel skewer to hold the wing in place.

Keith OctoForks Posted March 11, 2017 Report Posted March 11, 2017 IDK, I've dipped potatoes like that in catsup...same as I would French fries.
MacKenzie Posted March 12, 2017 Author Report Posted March 12, 2017 Right you are, Keith.Tony, you know deep down it is ketchup for the potatoes. 1
tony b Posted March 12, 2017 Report Posted March 12, 2017 Incorrigible! At least you're not as bad as POTUS, who puts ketchup on his WELL-DONE steak! http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/donald-trump-steak-ketchup_us_58b43bf2e4b0a8a9b7845b25
MacKenzie Posted March 13, 2017 Author Report Posted March 13, 2017 Good example of someone lacking class and good taste.

CeramicChef Posted March 16, 2017 Report Posted March 16, 2017 @MacKenzie - by gosh, in the time I've been gone, your meals have only gotten better! You just keep setting the bar higher and higher. That plate is making my mouth really water!
