  1. Howdy, K-K peeps: attached is today's project, about 13 lbs of beef chuck ribs, smoked at around 285-300 with post oak for seven hours. They are no resting, wrapped in butcher paper in the igloo cooler, and will be served later with some nice sides for Sunday dinner. Some days, life is good.....

  2. First cook after venting. Used homemade dough recipe from “Glen & Friends” YouTube. The dough had been seasoning in the fridge for 4 days. See picture of setup recommended on the KK Forum. 525 degrees for 8 minutes was perfect. Thanks to forum advice first pizza was awesome!

  4. Ground some wheat berries this morning to make 100% whole wheat pancakes. Only the bacon was done on the KK. Those pancakes soaked up the butter and good old maple syrup. I haven't forgotten you, CK.

  5. LOL you mean everybody does not have a maid, gardener and driver full time? Ahh the joys of third-world living! Who cleans your grates when they are greasy? And you thought I lived here for the fun and sun..

  6. Ribs for dinner last night. 325F indirect with the smoker pot with coffee and apple woods over coffee charcoal. Half the rack got slathered with Dinosaur Mango Habanero sauce. Dry rub was a mix of Dizzy Dust and Dr. Cimarron's. Plated with roasted potatoes.

  7. Sauce was simple. La San Marzano peeled canned tomatoes picked on 234DOY blended with fresh basil, dash of salt, and strained to a thick consistency. After it sets for an hour it’s ready to go on the KK.

  13. I am posting this with a heavy heart. I appreciate all of you and the friendships made over the years. I love cooking with my KK’s and everything that comes with it... but I am done in 2020. This is taking up too much of my time. I am struggling to keep up with the everyday chores of cooking, cleaning and maintaining my home, so something has to give. I have decided to get rid of my gear. Below is a list of what's available. Serious inquiries only, and please don't insult me with low offers. Thanks for reading and understanding... 1. Vacuum cleaner 2. Dustpan and brush 3. Mop and bucket 4. Lawn Mower 5. Leaf blower 6. Laundry detergent 7. Iron 8. Broom

  19. Thanks for all the valuable information everyone shares on this forum. I was well prepared for the delivery and setup. Thanks to Dennis for always responding to my questions. Received the 32BB on Monday 12/23. Tipped the friendly driver and he helped me roll it to my backyard gate. 1/2” plywood did the trick for easy rolling over my gentle slope. I had to uncrate for it to fit through my gate without removing the fence post. Slow cooked some ribs and quail for initial cook. Will do the burn in/venting tomorrow with rotisserie chicken and pizzas planned. D1BD169A-FEAA-4CC9-9863-FF56E76AB729.mov FBC57A3B-3A05-49A8-88FE-68678245A1E2.mov

  20. I put the chips into a bowl and then heat them in the microwave to blow off some steam/lower the moisture content .. They seem to smolder much better if you reduce the moisture.. at least here in humid Bali.. I think it also burns off more undesirables when drier, so a bit cleaner smoke too..

  23. That part confused me from the video and then talking to you. As you said to me the burn-in is not needed but i still did it to be on the safe side. There was still venting going on. Not a lot and defiantly not a problem. Just to let you know that it is properly still a good idea to do this. IMG_1166.MOV
