Progressing nicely. Everything unpacked from the crate now. Baking stones etc in there garage. Did start to worry - thinking how is everything I ordered going to fit in here - have they forgotten the tables ? Of course they hadn't ! It's on a double pallet, so going to have to make a secondary ramp. It's not going to be slid off like this !7 points

That's the pub behind us by the way. Couple of pictures of it in position , one from outside and one from inside. Many thanks to folk on the forum who have inspired and advised. Truly wonderful bit of kit !! I'm going to wait for a dry, bright day for the burn in and first cook, meanwhile have to unwrap and figure out what all the extra thing are.4 points

@Paul - Ha the first cook is a little way off yet. So we extended the ramp with some ply and supported it underneath with concrete slabs. Once I'd knocked the central box to bits and unsecured / crowbarred off the bits of wood restraining the feet it started to move a bit. We put a rope around the KK and tied the other end to Mrs RD as we gently manoeuvred it down the slope we'd made. Any one else find this a bit scary ??4 points

Haaa ! I did go out with the torch last night and I can see it from the bedroom window, so I am having a nice cup of tea with Mrs RokDok. I am going to savour the next couple of hours.4 points

0709 here in Southsea. I think RokDok was optimistic with his 0708 sunrise. Internet tells me we will get sunrise at 0738 here and that RokDok will see it in Dorset at 0743. That said, I bet you he is out there in the dark now.4 points

This is a great view. All your fun stuff within easy reach. I like the way the KK sits right in, just like you always planned for it to be there. Congratulations! @BOC, don't sweat the ramp. If you end up with a double pallet I would abandon the ramp that comes with the KK and use a longer piece of ply, supported by planks or bricks along the slope, to create a longer gradient to roll it down. Says she who got other people to do that while she played with her new KKs as they rolled off the nice ramp that they built... Back to Mr and Mrs RD š»3 points

Pleased to see it has arrived. Looks great. Enjoy. And the beer.2 points

I'm not a betting man but I'd wager good money that Mrs RD would definitely fit within the group who 'finds this a bit scary'. š2 points

Quick dinner last night. Suya pepper pork cutlets, direct, lower grate at 350F. Plated with some curry rice and roasted chickpeas & cherry tomatoes with a dollop of Bomba (Calabrian chiles, eggplant, green olives and artichokes.) Indian garlic naan on the side. Washed down with one of my favorite beers - Hopslam from Bells. Unfortunately, it only comes out once/year and sells quickly.2 points

Nice setup (and drum kit!). I like the way you can keep the KK and pizza oven both in view whilst playing.2 points

@RokDok, This is the stuff nightmares are made of. Iām really hoping for a single pallet upon my delivery. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk2 points

Thanks @jonjJon, I am just tucking into an adult beverage at the moment ( I love Tony's term) and am just going outside with a torch to check it's still there. Sunrise is at 7.08 tomorrow.2 points

Looking good RokDok. Well played. BOC when the delivery is pellet jacked off the truck, have them pick it up by the top pellet, not the second pellet to avoid this extra height. RD I had to call Dennis before I slid my KK off the pellet. I was worried the supporting box could rip the bottom out of the KK. He assured me it would be fine to just rock it off. We got it through the hedge fine and then down the path between the two lawns, but we thought it safer to do the leapfrogging plywood trick alongside the house - I'dedisconnected the gas supply and moved the cylinders but the connection to the house was a bit proud and the house is built of stone and lumps of flint that also protrude.1 point

I was holding out for multi-cam tekobo style. I still chuckle about the delivery manager being brought to camera for a 'post match interview'. Easily my favourite Zoom call of 2020.1 point
