There were two statues in the park that faced each other for years. A male and a female. One snowy, cold Christmas Eve a magical wind blew through the park and both statues came to life. Male statue: This is incredible. I’ve been looking at you for 30 years. Are you thinking what I’m thinking? Female Statue: You better believe I am. Let’s do it! So both statues go behind the bushes and sure enough, the leaves and branches start flying. After about 20 minutes, they take a break and speak. Male Statue: That was wonderful. Do you want to do it again? Female Statue: Oh yes, but this time you hold down the pigeons and I’ll **** on them.

M My eldest daughter tested positive for coronavirus 2 days before Christmas so we were not able to be with extended family as normal. The grocery store happened to have fresh chickens in a pinch. So it was garlic and herb roast chicken for Christmas dinner. Asparagus grilled on the kk. Roasted organic fingerling potatoes in the oven. Worked out well. I didn’t do the best job of spatchcocking the birds. Not all of the breast was on top. Also I did not probe them in quite the right location. Upon checking them with the instant read thermometer they needed more time and threw off my timing for dinner. But it all looked and tasted great. Grill tidings of great joy. If it gets any hotter just throw them on the hood of your car and save the water for the drought. Is that a Maine lobster?

Cooked 225f until 110. Pushed it up to 400f dome, cooked until 127f. Rested and serviced. Forgot a pic on the grill, the pic in the glass dish is hanging out on my KJ big joe while I waited for my KK to get to 400f. I should also add that I dry aged it from about the first week of November.

I like snow for about 10 minutes. Thankfully we get about 1" every 5 years here. You should see Cajuns drive when we get ice on the roads. It's off or wide open no matter what the road conditions. See, I didn't say coonass...oop!

My kind of Christmas! Screw the snow! (We're supposed to get 4+ inches this evening into tomorrow. )

Well it went on at 2 PM yesterday and was done at 8 AM this morning. It finished just before the weather started to turn bad. Perfect timing. This was my first time using the FlameBoss with the KK and it worked perfectly Carrots and potatoes are finishing in the oven, my lady friend does grow some interesting veggies 🤐. Then the baked beans will go in to warm up too. And of course the coleslaw is in the fridge chilling. And of course there will be apple pie from Montilio's Bakery for later.
