  1. Thanks Boomer! Glad you are happy! That cover/Sunbrella will provide you many many years of unparalleled service/protection. I think you'll be surprised.
  2. Thanks for the post/photo Syzygies. My first spruce green. Looks great, I like it. Wait until it rains Syzygies; watch the water literally run off like water runs off a ducks back. I think you'll be surprised. Sorry, I won't put my name on a plastic non breathable cooker cover. I just won't do it. For many reasons.
  3. Congratulations and welcome aboard TraderRick! You just purchased the best cooker in the world. You're gonna love it; and wife too!! If interested in a quality long lasting cover shoot me an email to [email protected] photos at http://coverworks.nakedwhiz.com
  4. Isn't it good for iron poor blood or something? I think it's what put the lead in my ass!!!
  5. Wrangler, you forgot to tell us what a little rust hurts. I've used my mouth to feed rusty hog rings to hog ring pliers for years now. Maybe like H1N1, I'm so old I'm immune!!! I'm in that category of having survived 3 pandemics so don't qualify for H1N1 flu shot..... Yikes!!!
  6. Again, awesome tile pattern!!!! and congratulations!! Charcoal Tweed cover is going to be very nice on that baby.
  7. Now I understand! I just had to look up candy striper so I could see what all the talk is about. Now I understand!!!
  8. Re: Interesting Trophies!! Haha. My thoughts exactly Okay you Turkey!!! That does it!!
  9. Interesting Trophies!! I'm guessing........; are they representative flames?
  10. Re: Extruded coconut charcoal in town Now I know where Whiz got the idea to smoke it!!!
  11. Candy Striper??? ummmmm.......... anything like the song "kissed a girl and I liked it"?
  12. Hell Yea! I'm sold!! Best brisket I've ever done. Thanks again for the post Doc! 11.5 lb full packer cut from Sam's Club. Salt, Pepper, garlic powder, EVOO, and all purpose seasoning. Oven temp 300 F. indirect with drip pan, place brisket fat cap up, two hours later brisket internal 170 ish F., wraped in foil, kicked oven up to 350 F., brisket back on for another 2-ish hours, removed foil (saved juices in foil), removed drip pan, brisket back on grill 1/2 hour more, removed, wrapped in foil and towell, in micro 45 minutes to rest. Perfect!!! I couldn't believe the results. Brisket went on at 1:00 and we were eating BBQ brisket sammies with scalloped potatoes at 6:00pm.
  13. Oh...so these ain't Johnnies Jammies Curly, Sanny won't give me her measurements!!
  14. Jeff, Nice handles! Applied finish with a paper towell!! What kind of paper towells do you have? That can't be the kind of paper towell I'm used to; you must be joking. I like the wire too; agree it helps set the handles off. What do the wire ends look like? How are they secured?
  15. Very interesting Doc!!! I never considered foiling brisket, but what an idea! I never considered an oven over 220 F either. I do however use the fork test for doneness. I tend to dry out the flat a little more than I like; foil may be my answer. I'm giving one a shot today! Thanks for your post.
  16. You are sumpin' else Sanny! That's fantastic work! Your outfit too! Reminds me of the crochet/tatting work Brugge, Belgium is so known for. I loved sitting watching the ladies toss bobbins back and forth, over and under, on their little tables, creating masterpieces; wearing outfits just like yours and M's. Very cool. Great work Sanny! It's almost a lost art in America anymore; nice to see you keeping it going.
  17. Ok Tlemmen, here's your first opinion. Black is very safe, and very good looking. However, tweeds are some of my favorites. Tweeds are very tight alternating colors which in my opinion appear as a tight plaid close up, but from any distance appears solid. Charcoal tweed is not as dark as black. If wanting to maintain the theme of your surroundings; I'd suggest matching the surroundings versus the tile. It's a personal thing; just my $0.02 cents.
  18. See how little I know about this web stuff. I don't even know my own address!!!
  19. Far better protection Syzy!!! I've had my personal cover in the harsh mid-west winters for nearly 5 years now. Rain, snow, freeze, shine. Still looks great. Sunbrella doesn't claim their fabric to be 100% water tight. No breathing fabric is. However, I've used Sunbrella on boat covers many many times, if the cover isn't tented for water runoff it will create a pond! It isn't uncommon in a rain storm for surface moisture to form under a cover; even vinyl allows moisture to form. Problem with vinyl is it won't breath to let surface moisture out when the sun shines/heats it back up; Sunbrella will. I suggest visiting www.sunbrella.com for all the details. Lots of explainations/testimony why Sunbrella is the best outdoor fabric in the world.
  20. Awesome tile pattern Dennis!!! Nice craftsmanship! For a cover send Johnnyboy an email to [email protected] Charcoal Tweed would be an awesome/matching color choice for that grill!!! Bow Tie! You're too cute Sanny! Would be cool though........
  21. Baby Puke Blue!!!! That just sounds wrong.... I hope the black hose isn't as STIFF as mine!!! Because I hate that hose just for that reason. Uncoiled it won't lay flat on the floor; becomes one hullofa trip hazard. I much prefer the baby puke blue; much softer and more plyable, lays nice and flat. I have two of those together. I'll never look at my baby puke blue hose the same way again! I always liked that hose!!!
  22. I'm here!!!! Thanks Dennis for posting the details. Thanks everyone for your positive comments and continued support. Sorry for not being real active posting lately. I've recently started a new job (my real job) that's taking lots of my time. When it's slow I can jump on the forum like now; but new job hasn't been slow. But I'm typically on email. Sorry my webpage is minimal. I need to get off my butt and feed whiz more info. Having said that I'm very happy for the work whiz has done for me, as much as he has. Check it out at www.coverworks.nakedwhiz.com I thought about having Whiz add the information Dennis posted; but anymore my covers have expanded to more than just KK. Folks are requesting covers for other items on their patios (fountains, fire pits, love seats, grill/whiz tables, etc.). I thought about asking Whiz to at least add the sunbrella website to view colors. But then that can be confusing because some covers I build using 46" wide fabric which has more colors available than the 60" wide fabric I need for KK grills. I'd hate to have someone fall in love with a 46" wide color for their KK then find out they can't have it. Can you see why I'm a little stuck? Any ideas? Cheers!! John Earl
