  1. Ditto Condo suggestion for moving the hooks. I was wanting to suggest the same idea for same reasons. I'm not sure what I could send a customer to retro fit their cover with. If the bottom of the cover (opening) won't fit over the brackets, there's not much I can think of to send outside of more Sunbrella and my sewing machine!!
  2. Dennis, what is the circumference with new brackets, not including tables? We're trying to figure out if cover for KK without side tables will fit. Thanks much. I also sent you an email last week. Hope all is well. John
  3. Shoot FM, there goes my idea for a table sleeve. But I like the idea; keep it all under one cover. Sorry Tcoliver!!! It won't fit!!! Take another look at the photos in this thread, the KK with side tables folded down, you can see the tables folded down take up some room. I add about 8" in the circumference for "each" table. Even then, a cover fit for a right side table won't properly fit a left side table. Condo, I like your suggestion!!!
  4. Wow Dennis, great idea!! Removable tables now; you never cease to amaze us. This is awesome. Bottom line for covers (Jammies). Covers that fit 23.5 KK without tables are finished size approx. 101" in circumference. If the KK 23.5 circumference including mounts (for removable tables) is less than 101" in circumference then standard cover will fit. (Dennis, can you please measure?) However, for the original folding tables I don't think a standard cover will fit even one table. I offer 3 cover sizes for the folding style table; standard, one side table, or two. And if one side table it depends which side. Thanks, John
  5. Hey Larry, you be doin some serious cooking there Bud!!! Great slide show. All looks so good. Enjoyed the cover shot too, looks great.
  6. Wow! Those are really cool Dennis. Beautiful work.
  7. Visit www.sunbrella.com or send me an email to [email protected] Thanks for the pm FM! John
  8. Myself888, YES even if you were in Iowa! Perfect addition to any yard, outdoor kitchen or whatever. I've not cooked soley with gas, but do enjoy it for lighting the coal. Easy enough having NG on the paito with quick disconnect. I've not used mapp type gas cylinders to know any difference in ease or lighting top side versus bottom, but wanted to share my positive experience with gas burner. I do everything from sear to low and slow. FM, you write well!! Ditto FM!
  9. BIG THANKS T-REX Appreciate the post T-Rex. Thanks much. I haven't forgot about the others. If only I didn't require so much sleep
  10. Prolly because you're under 2' of snow Sanny. I can't say I've notice a cost difference here. Happy Lunar to you to Sanny, ........ and Valentines day too!!!
  11. FM I just found this.... You know I won't let you get away that easy. Ha! Firemonkey wrote "The KK is an attractive addition to your living space. A cover, not so much so - (sorry JB - yours look as nice as a cover can look )." You know what I'm singing about now???? Pants on the ground, Pants on the ground, don't be a fool with your pants on the ground.... Pants on the ground..... HaHa!!! ROFLMAO Just couldn't pass that up FM.
  12. Re: Johnny Boy's KK cover BIG Thanks Syzygies!!! That's what I strive for, right there, the kudos, and to build the best cover available. Thanks again.
  13. Big Thanks for the kudos! Much appreciated.
  14. Wow what a shock. So sad, such a loss. My time sharing stories with Dave, and learning much from him go back to K days too. He will truly be missed. Thanks Dennis for posting the sad news.
  15. CONGRATS Larry! You're gonna love it!
  16. That's awesome Fetz; great photos!!! What I should do is snap a shot of mine, but with cover. Except I may have more snow!!!! Na, I looked again. They're about the same, in fact you may have more!! Ha! Good post again bud.
  17. Reverse sear..... What's that? You stand backwards, or turn the meat inside out? Ha! Just trying to be funny. You'll have to explain this one.
  18. Wow! I see I have some work/playing to do. Great info, thanks guys.
  19. Mike, How do you load DVD's? I have media center on my laptop. Is there pirate software to get around copyright laws? I tried copying DVD's to my laptop but could never get them to play..... I used to have all my music CDs and movie DVDs in a jukebox player. Although slow, was cool until it broke. Now I want a server type solution.
  20. Jasen, Weren't you the one awhile back suggesting brisket go directly from cooker to refer? To help maintain moisture. Quickly stop cooking process. Someone suggested that, although I haven't tried.
  21. Awesome Doc! Thanks again for the info. I think we're going to have to keep you around.
  22. I hope someone out there can provide some technical info on this subject. I know my wife wouldn't eat it. Having said that I have over the years had a fire or two go out on overnighters to wake up to a cold oven (K in my case), cold meat. I restart the fire and move on like nothing happened, and have never got sick. Soooo, meat sitting in the sink overnight, maybe stupid question, but is the sink empty? no water?
