  1. Got ourselves a small leg of lamb (just the 2 of us at home)... Very juicy and tender (Ozzie lamb is the best!) with some taters and corn...all gone
  2. Wow, what can I say? All these improvements........ too bad my KK will last me a lifetime and I won't need an upgrade anytime soon! I reckon it's great (as we can expect from Dennis) that the product is still improving... will it ever reach BBQ nirvana/perfection? getting close in my opinion.
  3. Looks great... It's a leg of lamb for me tomorrow (yeah yeah pics will be posted). How long did you actually cook it for (medium temps or low 200F's)?
  4. Pardon my ignorance but here's my 2 cts (I'll research pellet rigs a bit later) but my main choice for the ceramic cooker was diversity (as the Whiz commented) it can cook from low and slow all the way up to charring steaks in under 1 minute... It also is economical from a "shutdown" point of view compared to my kettle/wsm. And I really really like the tasted of charcoal based cooks. Then there was the boss approval rating; she didn't mind a goodlooking BBQ (yes it looks great) instead of another metal beast on the deck. Don't want to sound too much like a fan-boy but if I could only have 1 BBQ I would go with the KK.
  5. Looks great how easy is the mechanism to clean, if you obly use it for pepper it's fine but using a variety of spice (chili etc) I'ld want to be able to give it a thorough clean at times... It's another thing of beauty though!!!
  6. I luv creme brulee... Will put an order in with the wife (will show pictures)...
  7. Hi Deej, I'm getting the ET-73 , as you said luck of the draw some posts rave about it others think it's a POS... Did you hear anyhting about a procomm upgrade I'm considering getting the new Digi II (as I need a new gadget/my competitor is still going strong) but would potentially hold if they upgraded the procomm??
  8. Re: Any shape or material side table. I like! Any ideas on pricing? (tiled model)
  9. Congrats on your purchase and welcome to the forum
  10. I use it as well for my drip pan /diffuser stone... I have never "cooked on it", I guess you could make it an accessory so people have a choice. On the other hand I liked the idea of the Gen II that came fully loaded with every gadget available and would choose that version again (you're spending a fair wad so you migth as well spend the extra dollars).
  11. Nah those are good reasons but unfortunately I need one for research asap since a great medium sized KK would crack open the market here. Strangely enough most antipods don't seem to go for a normal sized KK.
  12. Re: its the other side of the world My toilet drains the same direction yours does
  13. Looks great Fire 'm up!
  14. Re: TV Spot.. There should be a 13.1 Mb FLV file in your "Temporary Internet Files" directory you can copy and save it somewhere else... You'll probably need a flv player: http://www.download.com/FLV-Player/3000 ... d=10814415 Works for me...
  15. Re: Charcoal Rails Yes, that's them Hmm something to get for my b-day, when I got rid of my kettle (it got jealous when Aussie Blue arrived ) I also got rid of the baskets but those rails look handy!
  16. Great work nice clip... How did you get it on site?
  17. Great looking birds... How did you move the charcoal to one side (3rd picture)??
  18. I can use one as well but like Firemonkey will wait until it can be shipped with something else (such as the rib rack! )

    AAARRGGH

After much deliberation I have decided to post... Yes this was filmed 3 weeks before my KK arrived (don't ask couldn't be helped).... I have asked the producer to do a special on BBQ's down-under so there is still a chance I can get a KK on Aussie television. Anyway on a gasser W : http://video.sbs.com.au/player/food_pla ... &mmid=1902
  20. Looks beautiful and must have tasted great! At 425 did it take about an hour (or less?) What did you use "under" the chicken as a deflector?? looks like two pieces of a ???
