  1. @MacKenzie - now we're talking! Those are some kind of wonderful looking baked beans. KK beans are some of my favorites and those blow me away. Nova Scotia Kudos to ya! Thanks for posting.
  2. @MacKenzie -Geez, you can get almost as many great looking meals out of a chicken as my dear Mom! That is just making me drool like a fool! Of course there are some that would say that's not hard to do! That's a beautiful dish. Kudos all over Nova Scotia to you!
  3. Charles - that is some kind of really nice ride! The only way that bike gets any better looking is with Suzy sitting on it holding the trophy! Congrats and kudos to you! That's really a good thing you did supporting the local show and investing your time in getting your bike up to show spec. Well done!
  4. @dstr8 - I am squarely in the stacked enchi camp with you. I was raised for a while in New Mexico, Four Corners Area, and can remember going back to visit . It was the first time I ever saw stacked. I was hooked. The only place I ever saw stacked again was years later in Colorado Springs at a great Mexican Restaurant next door to my office. They had an amazing menu. Even better, the wife of the owner kind of adopted me and she' cook up some food for me. What a cook! I will take mine stacked any day!
  5. @tony b - all it takes is practice. If I can do it, I know you can! May I suggest practicing on a pig foot like Docs do or maybe your wife/girlfriend. The wife/girlfriend practice may lead to extracurricular activities!
  6. Nicely done, @wilburpan. I was about to post just that tip. It also looks as if you are using the "Unread Content" link at the top and bottom of each page to look at content you haven't seen. Caution! If you fat finger the DOT in front of unread content and accidentally hit the name of the person who started the thread you want to read, you'll be taken to that person's page that lists everything about them. I read this sight mainly on an iPad and end up on folks pages all the time.
  7. @BBQKaeding - now that's a post! Great pics, nice recipe, I'd say you've got this deal on a downhill pull! If that cooks tasted half as good as it looked, that was a little bit of heaven on a plate! Kudos!
  8. Whew! I'm glad we got this right! I was certainly wondering what I was going to do with all the egg on my face if I got this wrong! I hope you're having the happiest birthday ever, Dennis!
  9. Tony, it just doesn't get any better than that! Kudos to ya. I'm betting that was some kind of tasty.
  10. @ckreef - those chicken thighs look professionally trussed. You certain you haven't done this before? Really a beautiful cook. Kudos to you, my Friend!
  11. @MacKenzie - thanks for that picture! I've seen just a few Hummers around my yard here in OKC. I live in the City itself with very little open green spaces around me. Maybe all my Hummers are up in the milder climes of Canada. If I didn't have to put up with OKCs scalding hot summers, I would head to Canada myself. It was 99° on my patio this afternoon!
  12. @FastGlass - welcome to Komodo Kamado and welcome to The Obsession! Those are some beautiful KKs you've got headed your way! You are going to absolutely love how easy life is with the KKs cooking for you. We're glad your here and we look forward to your posts, especially those with pictures of your cooks! So tell us about your business, how to came to the KK world, etc.! Inquiring minds want to know.
  13. Tough duty, Tony! You have all my sympathies!
  14. OKAY! I get it now! That's really inventive. I've never seen a CPAP machine before and I think God for that.
  15. Hey Dennis! I hear a rumor that you're celebrating another anniversary of your birth! Congrats, Friend, and here's to many, many more!
  16. Tony - I feel your pain. It's finally heating up here in Central OK. We're supposed to hit the mid 90s here through the weekend. It's been a very mild spring here without much severe weather. very few tornados and that's a wonderful thing!
  17. Wasn't it Chesterfield? That what keeps running through my old brain ... The tag line was set to the tune of La Bamba and was in response to Benson & Hedges 100s. At least that's what I remember.
  18. Now that looks like a sumptuous repast if I ever saw one! Nicely done.
  19. Hi Rob - have you thought of carnitas? We know THE GO TO GUY, Jrow, who knows more about Mexican than I'll ever know. I'd send him a PM and get his Mama's recipe. His will be dynamite!
  20. @DennisLinkletter - oops! Brain fart time here in OKC! I knew that! I thought it was @ckreef who posted that! Geez, it's hell getting old! But my comment still goes, Sai knows now of your duplicity, my Friend, unless she never gets on this board!
  21. @BBQKaeding - WOW! That is one good looking cooker! I like that plaid pattern. Very nice. And I like that Hairdryer hooked up to the Controller port. What kind of hairdryer is that? As an aside, whenever I'm doing cooks in the 200-300 range, I just light one spot. For cooks in the 300-400 range, I'll light two spots. In the 400-500 range I will light between 3 and 4 spots. I just set my veins and latch the lid. TheBeast is always ready within an hour.
  22. I've got TheBeast, a KK BB 32. His grates are an nice ebony black. I run my grill floss over every bar of the grate after a high temp burn. After everything has cooled down, I then take a Char-Grill nylon brush to each grate. I've never had any complaints from guests. I've also never had a grill that has gleaming grates other than when I get a new grill. Is there something I'm missing or something that I'm not knowing> Am I risking my health with my ebony grates?
  23. Thanks, @kjs! Alas, the leftovers are no longer leftovers!
