  1. SmallBBQr and I must be neighbours, we don't have them either:)
  2. I'm expecting lots of leftover meals from that 8 lb chicken but then again, I love chicken leftovers. Maybe I'll even do a chicken pie
  3. A nice lunch, roti chicken sandwich
  4. Can't wait to see and hear about the unveiling:)
  5. SmallBBQr, I doubt I could get 2- 8pounders in horizontally, if I did it would be tight fit.
  6. Yes, Wilbur, I wanted to do an indirect cook and then sears but they looked good and I just did a very short sear so I could keep all the juices. No, can't run the splitter the other way the basket is the same shape as the inside of the grill.
  7. Robert I can see why you like your CyberQ:) It looks like things are right on track:)
  8. Robert, you are off and running This is going to be a good story.
  9. Thanks everyone. I am so glad that getting Pebbles on the deck went so much better than I originally anticipated. Play time is here
  10. Many thanks everyone. You were so right this is going to be a lot of fun
  11. Poochi, you just enjoy yourself.
  12. Tony, I wasn't going to have that thing escape, sure didn't want to goof my first roti cook. It was a chicken rub put out by a ceramic grill company. The spice is called Tupelo Honey Crunch. I don't normally do a lot of prepackages rubs but you never know what will happen;) I did put an onion in the cavity:)
  13. Roti chicken, I did it today:) Some good:)
  14. It's going to be very interesting to see the finished product, should be a winner:)
  15. Did and 8 pound chicken, roti style, I've been dying to try this:) 3.5 hours at 390F, a little hotter than I wanted by just try to cool this thing off;) It is tied and packed tightly into the roti and in the grill. Just out of the KK. Resting. Sliced and exposing the moisture. Plated.
  16. Thanks everyone, it has been quite a ride so far and there is much more to come:)
  17. It has been an adventure from start to finish. Being guided by Dennis I now have the perfect grill for me - the 21 inch high top in harvest gold. The final delivery day started out optimistically with the perfect plan. Drive a 3/4 ton truck up to the loading dock of the warehouse, load the grill onto the truck and no lifting. Take one section of the deck hand rail down, back the truck up to the deck and plank the grill onto the deck. Whoops we realize there is just too much of a height difference, 2 feet. Next step get a flat bed truck and a pallet lifter. Just need to level up one side and we are good to go. Perfect, no lifting:) Landed:) My carpenter had a young woman as a trainee. My carpenter can't wait to see what's inside, seriously:) I now have my blue badge:) Pebble is home:) Cold and wet but it all worked out. The first smoke. The goodies:) The whole experience was awesome right from the very first time I spoke with Dennis to final location of my KK grill on the deck. Would do it over again in a heart beat
  18. It looks like I'm going to have to try those Sungolds next year:)
  19. Me too, Tony. It will be my very first. Keep your fingers crossed I hope to get it on this morning.
  20. Thanks, tinyfish. It won't be white for long;)
  21. Tinyfish, fantastic meal, every single dish is awesome
  22. I spent some time getting the rotisserie figured out for an up coming chicken;) So it was a late burger cook tonight. I ground a blade roast to make these burgers. Ready to grill. On the grill Ready for the bun. Plated- Up close.
  23. Thanks, everyone. Tony and CC you are on the wrong track. The name comes not from where you think but from the fact that I love pebbles you know the kind you find in brooks. When I was much much younger on Sunday after afternoons we very often went out for a drive into the country. Mostly we'd be on dirt roads and maybe we'd stop at a brook or stream. We kids would play in the water, throw stones, build little stone bridges, etc. I always loved the feel of the pebbles. They were so smooth and guess what is all over my KK, shinny smooth pebbles:) There will be no Bam Bam in my future, sorry:(
  24. Wilbur, certainly a very tasty rib dinner, everything looks wonderful. :)
  25. Wilbur, that is an awesome looking brisket
